Rockin' Good! 1/10/2007

We had pizza from here twice this week. Once it was because we were just being lazy and didn't want to cook - plus it's my boyfriend's favorite food. The second time was to thank the contractors that helped put a blown off skylight back on my 3.5 story house. Everyone was a big fan and we had 6 people eating that pizza. Hot, tasty, and delivered quickly. I love these guys year to year. more

Used to be great, now good 6/30/2006

We've been going to Zeeks for years, but I'm starting to see the quality go down on several fronts. They seem to be pinching the pennies a bit....cutting back on the toppings, no more free breadsticks before 6, service is waning...hum, what's up Zeeks? To be fair, the pizza is still good and the service is solid, but it used to be stellar, and that's what will bring them back every time. In fact it used to packed every time we would go there, and the past few times it was ony a 3rd full on nights where it would normally be completely full.....maybe its time to bring back the sticks before 6 and throw a few more olives and pieces of pepperoni on the old pie, eh? more

Thai One On! 6/1/2006

Although Zeeks can sometimes be kind of cold and sterile, it's pretty nice if you have kids, and no one can compete with their Thai One On Pizza! Occasionally, we'll go in and it will be off, but it can HIT the SPOT when you're really hungry - a delicious mix of peanut sauce, cilantro, lime, bean sprouts, chicken, and whatever else they put on there to make it so perfect. You can pick the degree of spiciness too - up to 5 stars, I think. The only thing that makes it better is a nice cold beer!! more

good pizza, very good place to go w/kids 5/29/2006

i didn't think the restaurant itself was anything special - wood booths, good enough service, etc. the food was good but not the best pizza i've had out here, the breadsticks were hot and fresh and came with a dipping sauce that was more salad dressing than breadstick sauce but it was ok. the best thing about zeek's is that it's a good place to go if you have kids, especially ones who get loud. it's a loud place and just about everyone there had at least one kid. they had covered straw cups for the littler ones, which i *really* appreciate (i can't count how many times a waitperson has put a full glass of ice water in front of my 19-month old!) and if you ask the waitperson, they'll give the kids a chunk of pizza dough to play with. talk about a great way to occupy the little ones while you are waiting for you food! i'd go back but only with the kids - if it's just me and hubby, i'll stick to pagliacci's or vincenzo's. more

thai pizza 5/26/2006

Wow! After a long day of moving boxes and furniture uphill and upstairs to our apartment, we were famished and dehydrated. Zeeks was just down the street, and my brother spoke highly of it. We ordered a thai veggie pizza, and it hit the spot. We got 4 stars of spiciness, which was just about right on our heat scale. We ordered a pitcher of cold, specialty beer and it was just right. The service was a little slow, although it was a Sunday afternoon and there were a bunch of families in the restaurant. more

Wild Greens Salad 4/23/2006

Why get a salad instead of pizza at Zeek's? Because it's delicious. I know I might be able to create something similar at home, but it never works. They toss it just right. I ask them to toss it even if I take it to go. Then there is the pizza. Non-dairy options! They have amazing crust (and bread sticks) and I just love the way they make it. I also like that you can go online and order that way. No more confusing phone calls (although I'm sure they're used to that). They do call back to verify your order, which is nice too... more

My dirty little secret 3/29/2006

I'm a reformed vegetarian who loves Zeek's Wood Butcher pizza. Oh my gosh! Their pizzas are second to none. Although we love Pagliacci in our house, Zeeks is the top favorite. They don't deliver to our house, which is the main bummer, but the Greenlake location is close enough and fun for eating out. Also try their salads! more

Frog belly green 11/22/2005

sounds weird right? but it is really goo. Pesto Parmasean and Tomatoes. Great Combination. I love this pizza, I never thought that it would be good however it is quite tasty. Monday night Zeeks has a special any large pizza from the specialty list for 15 dollars. This is totally worth it. They use all fresh produce, and there large specialties come filled and are enough that three adults have a hard time finishing them. I recommend it for eat in, take out, or delivery. more

Great Pizza and Super Convenient Delivery 10/31/2005

Zeeks offers terrific pizza and a really convenient way to order (and save orders) online. When we're in the mood for home delivery of a delicious pie, Zeeks is our first, second, and third choice. Delicious! more

Pizza Pie! 10/23/2005

A great place for a fun group and a fabulous time! The pizza was delicious, service great, and the prices were affordable. The atmosphere is fun and laid back! They have a variety of pizzas, salads, and toppings! The food is piping hot and service is fast! A recommend Zeek's to anyone of any age! more

Great Pizza, but a little noisy. 9/15/2005

I really enjoy Zeek's Pizza, but the Ravenna location can get a little noisy on the weekends. Twice I've been there at the same time as little league teams. It's a great place for families (which can contribute to all the noise). The pizza choices range from classic favorites to fun concoctions including several tasty vegetarian options and Thai Chicken. more

Zeeks on Phinney - good pizza, nice place 8/17/2005

This is a good choice for for pizza and beer with friends, especially in Summer when you can sit outside on the deck under umbrellas. The pizzas are good. Treehugger is a great veggie pizza. Their thai pizza with a base of peanut sauce is interesting but not their best one. It never seems too busy in there and you don't have to wait too long for food. It's casual and relaxed. On a Summer evening you might see families with kids, couples, a co-ed soccer team still in their team shirts. more
