Incompetent Sales Team 10/21/2010

I called to see if Zara had a pair of leopard print ballet flats on a Thursday morning at 11 am. Knowing this store and this area well, there was no way they were swamped with people. The first woman I spoke with went to check on the shoes and i was hung up on, which can happen so that was fine. I called back and spoke with a different sales girl, who proceeded to continue to put me on hold and say that she was in 'basics' but couldn't transfer me to anyone. This was followed, about 5 minutes later by a different sales girl taking the shoe information and going to check on the shoes. Another 5 minutes later and a the rudest salesman picked up the phone and proceeded to give so much attitude that I just could not believe my ears. When I asked to speak with a manager he said he was the manager and then hung up on me. If this is any indication in what Zara looks for in a sales team then I will never, ever shop at Zara again. I cannot believe that I wasted 20 minutes of my day being treated in such an unprofessional and rude manner. I am truly disappointed in Zara and will be letting a higher ranking regional manager know of this situation as well. more

Great! 2/20/2006

I love this store! I'm from a small town in NC in the city for 2 months to train and I discovered this store walking down 34th street and I'm an addict! I cannot leave without a bag in my hand from there. I am a very small framed person and the dress shirts are the best! The fitting is fabulous and they don't have to be stretch, they are just normal shirts with the perfect fit! I'm stocking up b/c some of their things are classic and when I go back to NC, I can't shop there anymore:-( Pros: style Cons: cost, sizes more

What's Not To Like? 1/6/2006

I love Zara. Ever since I discovered the store, I've been hooked. If you're a small framed tall woman like me, this is THE PLACE to buy pants. I used to have the hardest time finding pants that would fit my waist and my small (tiny) butt, but be long enough in length. SCORE! The clothes are stylish and good quality, and the prices are GREAT! I shop here for myself and for my boyfriend. It's easy to look good with the selection they have, that won't break your wallet. Pros: Great clothes, Great prices more

A Must See 6/30/2004

I had been to Zara in Spain, France, and Japan, and was delighted to hear that they had stores in the US. The clothes are very well designed, well made, and extremely affordable. It is a great place to by work clothes in that they are stylish yet functional, plus it is easy to stock up on basics for both men and women for the prices they offer. Sizing is a little tricky and the staff can be off in their own world sometimes, but overall a must see for any shopping trip. I recommend the Upper East Side store over the Soho store mainly because of selection. Pros: Inexpensive, beautiful design, large, open store Cons: , Stressed-out staff, Sizing more

Zara rocks 11/11/2002

besides having a great style, zara is not very expensive... the last time i was there i bought three great things for under $75: 2 sweaters and a skirt.... the skirt is a maroon corduroy mini- skirt.. great for fall. I was looking for a boat neck sweater-- found a great one there very unique and i havent ever gotten more compliments. my other sweater was also cute.. though basic, just a purple turtleneck sweater, but also very cute. Pros: inexpensive, good style, not too crowded Cons: workers, changerooms-long line more

Zara - must have fashion 9/27/2002

I found Zara in London, and was so thankful when I heard there were stores in New York. I make a trip to Zara every season to update my wardrobe. I am tall, and the clothes fit me perfectly. Finally, pants and skirts that aren't too short. Everything is feminine, good quality and trendy. Go to Zara and you can't go wrong. Pros: large variety, many styles Cons: customer service, fitting room lines more

2 packs a day 8/9/2002

This is a great store for the Euros but well-fed Americans will have a hard time finding anything. Attractive, trend-of-the-moment stuff abounds. However, you will need to have started smoking years ago to fit in. Go for the sexy shoe selection if nothing else. Pros: Generally Inexpensive, Beautiful store, Nice layout Cons: Poor service, Crowded fitting rooms, Tiny sizes more

good 7/19/2002

It's more expensive than store in europe. However, you can find very very good deal when they are on sale. Pros: many selection, unique item, fashion Cons: inexpensive, bad service, crowded more
