Dispatcher was so rude I gave up the cab 6/21/2011

I needed a cab, so I called. The dispatcher was unbelievably rude, to the extent that I just ended up telling him "ok forget it". He didn't seem too worried about it, BTW. I wonder how they're still in business. more

Worst customer service 5/23/2011

They have the worst customer service of all the businesses I have dealt with. When you call them for booking the cab their representative as EXTREMELY rude and don't know how to talk to customers. And on top of that they cabs are always late (despite their claim that they have a computerized system). STAY AWAY FROM THEM there are lots of better options. more

Puget Sound Dispatch/BYG "Seattle Yellow Taxi/Cab 6/3/2010

Seattle Yellow Taxi/Cab has two companies within itself. BYG, which is the cab company 'it handles drivers and cars accounting etc' and Puget Sound Dispatch 'it handles dispatching the cabs and handling customer orders.' I Once worked for them; first off as a call taker and then a Dispatcher. I must admit Puget Sound Dispatch does a poor job handling and fixing customer complaints and Servicing the Taxi Drivers and Customers. The Real reason for this is a guy named Jim Omally is the head dispatcher and promotes utter rudeness to the customers and drivers. He as well hires the rudest and untrained individuals you would ever meet. Even working in the Puget Sound Dispatch center is unsafe, Anger Multiplies Anger. In the call center and in every cab. But Jim he does care 'get to the next call,' wether or not you were rude and cursing at the driver or customer. Puget Sound Dispatch as well does not do a good job punishing the drivers who did the customer wrong, a dispatcher could d-authorise a driver and make him unable to work, then the driver would simply call up the BYG Super and get re-authorised. By Constantly being rude to the drivers and rude to the customers this creates an unsafe ride to the customer and drivers, the drivers don't trust or like their dispatchers nor does the dispatcher like or trust all drivers, call takers, and the customers often start this ride angry. We all being adults know that anger will cause problems. If you want a taxi/cab go elsewhere, even the small for hire companies will do. Seattle Yellow Cab being managed by PSD and Jim being employed all you will get is utter nonsense, anger, and possibly a very dangerous ride. Infact i would rather walk for miles in the rain or snow then call Yellow cab, i remember how everybody does their thing there from call taker, super, customer, to driver. more

Awful Service 12/31/2009

I hailed a yellow cab on capitil hill just to take us 6 blocks because it was pouring rain. The driver was very rude and I presume he thought we were drunk because after about five minutes we noticed he was basically driving in circles. We got angry but he just started yelling so we told him to just stop the car. We'd unfortunately driven for long enough that it was almost 8 dollars. When we got out we realized we almost 7 blocks away in the other direction. I will NEVER ever take yellow cabs again and I suggest you do the same. more

Intimidating/RipOff/Dangerous?! Taxi Driver/Co. 9/4/2006

I hailed a taxi on 2nd Ave. near the Space Needle to go to the Starbucks on Olive & Denny way. I got in and the man was having a heated discussion on his cell. He starts yelling in another language and finally hangs up, huffs and puffs while I sit silent, but questioning why he's heading all the way down to PIKE STREET when he could have just taken Denny straight up the hill. Then, I realized why...as we sat RED LIGHT AFTER RED LIGHT with the meter ticking away. Finally, at the Convention Center I asked why we didn't go up Denny...he then starts yelling at ME saying, "See, all you guys ALWAYS do this to me...start arguing everything." At that point I say with some sarcasm--I wasn't arguing, just asking and SUGGESTING it. He then goes on to rant and ramble a bunch of crap about how it was MY FAULT for not telling him--to which I responded that HE WAS DRIVING AND SHOUTING ON HIS CELL PHONE--then saying that he didn't KNOW about that route--just after he told me he'd been driving cab for 12 yrs in Seattle--and then, that PEOPLE LIKE GOING THIS WAY. Well, when we stopped the fare was $8.30 to go 3/4 mile!! He turned around with a threatening look, demeanor then chillingly calm and demanded full fare. I reluctanly gave--only b/c I feared what he might do--and then he wasn't going to give me change!! I told him I would wait til he found it then at which point he pulls out 1.75 and threw it back at me. I left and WILL NEVER EVER use YELLOW CAB CO. AGAIN! Car #490 for those who care...beware! more

Never again 8/14/2005

After my experience with Yellow Cab last week I will never use their service again. I know every taxi driver is different, but the fact that they would employ a driver as rude as the one I had makes me wonder who else they would let drive for them. Our driver was extremely hostile, openly mocking me and my friends over anything we said. I live in the city and know my way around and the driver deliberately got on I-5 when it wasn't need to jack up the fare. I will definitely wait for a different color next time I need a taxi. more
