The location for this review is the West Ashley location, found on the corner of 17S and Wesley Dr.
I have kids. Kids want ice cream. I want hot food. We don't have a ton of cash. Where can we go? Ye Ole Fashioned!
Ye Ole Fashioned has one of the larges selections of ice cream this side of 31 flavors. There are regular ice creams, ice creams with candy or bubble gum in them, sugar free ice creams, etc, etc. They can be served in a dish, sugar cone, waffle cone, or pretty much anything.
They have freshly made, REAL milkshakes, malts, floats, even protein shakes. There really isn't anything that has to do with ice cream that they don't have.
So what makes them different than national ice cream vendors? The cafe portion of the business.
You can mosey up to the lunch counter and order the items that are found at nearly any normal diner, such as chicken fingers, fries, or burgers. Or you can get a BLT that has 10, count 'em, 10 slices of bacon. Or you can get a combo with 2 foot long all beef hot dogs, fries, and a sodapop. If you're still hungry after all that, then my friend, you got a problem.
So have fun at Ye Ole Fashioned. Enjoy the food, but save some room for dessert.
