alot of fun! 10/17/2005

Mummies, yummies, curiosities, and kitsch! This place has it all. Shop for the regular souvenirs like post cards, tee shirts, and key chains while looking at the skeleton of a two headed calf! This place is one waterfront destination you can not pass up while in Seattle. You will know you are close when you pick up the strange aroma that fills the place. Not sure if it’s from the jarred animals lining the walls or what. more

Definately a must see 8/13/2005

I hadn't been to this place in years until about a month ago when I made a trip down to the Pier. Looks like they have been doing well since they openned a second shop down the block. You can get great souvenirs here as well as interesting gadgets. They are famous for their displays : mummy, two headed animals, and shrunken head. Definately a must see if you are around the areas. more

Great novelty shop to visit 8/13/2005

If you stop by Seattle, then I must say Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is a must see! It's got weird stuff but it's a cool funky store with gem/stones etc with fools gold and such, and it has jewelry, rings and the likes. It has postcards, cups, mugs, shot glasses and neat stuff and novelty stuff like an old fashion peep show and an old mummified man where you can see a bullet through his abdomen. I would watch younger kids though because some of the stuff like the 2 displayed dead people might be a bit much :) They also have a mermaid hanging from the ceiling found in the Puget Sound. Is she real?! who knows ... *wink* *wink* It's a perfect souvenier shop. more
