Wyldewood Cellars is a favorite of mine. I think you will enjoy a visit whether you take the back road country route or the quick ride on the highway. This is a small vineyard that’s located off of Hwy. I-35. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They have a great selection of their very own specialty vintages. I particularly like the sand plum, prairie pome and white sambuca flavors. Try the spiced wine served warm on a cold night. It’s most excellent! The non alcoholic elderberry drinks are a specialty of theirs and is said to have medicinal qualities. One of the great things is that they have free wine tasting so you can try before you buy. But be warned, you may like them all and end up buying a few cases. I believe they give case discounts but check to be sure. Pick up a few wine accessories too. They have souvenir glasses and all the stuff you need to make your own wine. You can find other local products as well. Things like specialty candies and jellies. And I can’t forget to mention their mystery dinner theatres because they are a lot of fun. Don’t forget to designate a driver!
