Definately worth a visit 6/26/2006

I've had my membership to WAM for almost a year now and each time I visit there is always something new to enjoy. They house such a wide variety of art that there is sure to be something for everyone. more

rare art, many exhibits 8/21/2005

This art museum, though in the seemingly unknown town of worcester, houses many great mastepieces from a wide range of artists. The best thing about this museum is that on a regular basis there are coming and going exhibits, making for a dynamic experience, even for the local residents. With the most recent addition of 'Paintings from the black plague,' featuring paintings from the era of the plague in europe. Housing mostly older, more traditional forms of art, the museum is gradually making a change to incorporate more modern forms of art, but that change will not be complete for quite some time. more

Beautiful local museum 8/20/2005

The Worcester Art museum is an excellent location for just about anyone to view some beautiful art and exhibits and further enrich themselves and their lives. This is a great place for individuals and families. It’s very clean and peaceful and when specific exhibits are displayed, they are put together very well. more

Wonderful art museum 8/10/2005

I must say, for its proximity to Worcester's Technical Institute, it sure is a great art museum ;) First of all, rates: admission is free from 10am to noon on Saturdays. Otherwise it's $8. Children under 18 are free, so bring your kids! They have pictures dating back centuries, and even some modern art. You can get headphones for a self-guided audio tour. There's a lunch bar (expensive) and gift shop, and I think they even offer art classes if you're so (no idea what that would cost). Make a day of it or just stop by for a walk through! Get cultured! more

Wonderful art gallery..! 8/9/2005

This museum has magnificent art galleries of various ancient cultures, sculpture and mosaics. They have audio tour and guided tours for the convenience of the visitors. They also have a library which is a great resource of art history books, catalogs and paintings. They do organize classes, workshops and programs for people who are interested in art. There is much more information listed at their website.. more
