Arrogant, rude and obnoxious sales team 12/8/2010

Usually I get my pictures printed online from a pro lab, but since I needed the prints today I had no other option. Before entering the store I had to look twice to make sure the store was open at all, it looks dark from outside and is a little dimly lit once you're inside. But that's besides the point. I enquired on their prices for prints and after the rude salesmen had a little inappropriate banter amongst each other, I asked if I could get six 8x10 prints and handed one of them my CD. He then asked sarcastically: ""Sure, I'll just pick one and make six copies?"", he made sure to glance around at his co-workers and catch if they were laughing. I then informed ""funny man"" that there was only one image on the disc that I needed six copies of. I mean I realize you don't need to be a genius to work at this establishment but a little kindness and tact goes a long way... that is if you'd like to stay in business! Another thing I don't understand, but didn't verbalize to the clearly indifferent and most probably ignorant employees, was why I had to pay $5 per 8x10 at inferior quality and color that never matches when I can get far superior prints from my pro lab on pro paper for $1.65 per 8x10. I took my disc and left, they won't get any business from me again and I'll make sure to spread the word. more

okay, but have gone downhill 10/24/2010

Been going here on and off for twenty years.\r Twenty years ago they were a fun store to visit, and the only odd experience I had was a lecture on the evils of credit cards by an employee.\r The products they carry are not as unique or special anymore, and the displays are very lackiing. It may be the newer market which is to blame.\r They used to be unsurpassed for printing, now I am a little ambiguous on that count. About every third time I go for prints there is an issue. \r The first time their website was jammed up and it would have taken more than three days to get 20 prints. They said they would print off of a memory card. Went home and copied to a CF. For some reason they said they could not copy from that, only from a flash drive or SD. Finally got the prints, but I stayed away for a year since it was so inconvenient. \r They were okay for some smaller orders, then they botched an order of 150 prints and tried to tell me it had something to do with aspect ratio. Interesting, in my job I deal with this issue and it was not an applicable argument. I stayed away another year.\r Again a few small orders, then another one for a few hundred $. That was okay.\r Today I tried to get 4 prints (no kidding) for a special purpose. They copied three, but would not copy the last because they said it appeared to be a copyrighted image (a high school shot to be used as a throwaway for a year book). I was not aware of that and do not really have an issue with it, but this was scanned so I do not believe there was a digital signature. I was not asked about this, I was told by the professionals running the print machine on Sunday. \r The more I thought about it, the less I am okay with having my orders under that sort of scrutiny by technicians, especially since some of my own shots from my film days are definitely superior to this image. \r Their equipment prices are fair, and their print service is pretty good, but the employee arrogance is a bit of a turn off. Think I'll look elsewhere for a while. more

poor service and product...avoid it! 5/17/2008

Bought a digital camera 4 months ago. Broke the 2nd day I used it....of course this was day 2 of our very first cruise...so I have about 5 pictures over a 7 day cruise....Returned to Wolf when we got back from our cruise. Wolf would not take responsibility. Accused me repeatedly of dropping it which I did not. Said they would send it back to Pentax but without a service aggreement, they doubted Pentax would replace/fix. That was 4 months ago. I returned a month ago to enquire and no one at the store could tell me anything about my camera. They said manager , Wes, would be in touch. He called and left message the next day and said he was clueless also but would follow up with pentax. That was over a month ago and i still have not heard from him. \r I thought Wolf had a good reputation for customer service, a better product, and an expertise that would be lacking at Best Buy or other stores. That turned out not to be the case. I will never shop here again!! more
