Central Park is right across from all the fancy chain stores on Park Avenue. It has some nice green areas, fountains, and flowers. One night a month, the Enzian theater also sponsors outdoor family-films in the park. At the park, you also get to take in the Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings. The city also puts on special events, including a great one for Chanukah last year, where a rocking orthodox Jewish band played. Lots on dancing happened. It's very family friendly. The only problem is that it's a bit small.
