do not play here 2/23/2009

Greedy owners make for worst course ever. booked a tee time for 11:00 on saturday. showed up promptly, no indication of a problem when checking in. Waited for ten minutes after our tee time, still not called. checked in, told it would only be twenty minutes. This is an outright lie, as at this point they were sending out fivesomes and knew that they were an hour behind on tee times. timed a group at twenty minutes a hole. Checked with starter who was unbelievalby rude so we went and got a very gruding refund. Will never play this course again. While they were processing the refund heard them tell people calling to come on down as the wait was only twenty minutes! Greedy liars! Pros: nice course if you have all day to play a round Cons: lying staff bad course management more

The course I wouldn't sneak on again 6/25/2008

I would give this course a zero if I could. The greens were like putting on lava rock and I got my shorts ripped off by thorns of bushes I fell into. I could not even figure out why there where pretty girls out there, I was looking for my usual 74 year old cougars. I will never go back to this track for the cheap beers, I think they are laced with bad powder that make me play bad. Being a wanna be pro golfer, I will pick a better course to sneek on to next time. That being said, I have a tee time there tomorrow just to see if I had and isolated bad experience. more

I do not recommend Willows Run - SLOW rounds, rude staff, and not worth the price. 10/16/2007

I've played Willows about 20 times (close to work in Redmond) but had a string of bad experiences recently. Most people know Willows Run courses play S-L-O-W. I usually play Eagle's Talon and I've had 6+ hour rounds. Apparently Double_J thinks that is not a big deal but when it plays slower than Bellevue Muni, it makes you wonder what the management's priority is. Pros: Scenery Cons: Pace of play (5~6+ hour rounds standard on weekends), rude staff more

Questionable at best 3/26/2006

It boggles the mind how lame the managment can be. It seems all they care about is trying to make a dime and refuse to take a hard look at the customer experience. Good luck. more

Awesome Golf Facility 4/13/2004

Played Willows saturday and was really impressed. golf course was in great condition the staff was freindly and helpful and the beer was really cheap. Why drive anywhere else when you could play here. I also joined their membership because it gives you two for one dinners at 5 different restaurants. Pros: Reasonably Priced, Hot Beer Girls, Great food more

Willows Run Golf 11/24/2003

Course is overrated for the value. Practice facility is marginal at best, with the balls in poor condition. Course is usually in good condition, and is very convient to walk on. Compare against others in the area like Triology on Redmond Ridge, it cannot compete. Pros: Location, Convient Cons: Value, Practice Facility more

Not good 3/19/2003

The golf course is fine until you get to the greens! They are commonly littered with ball marks. The golfers who seem to play there believe it is all right to leave their ball marks unrepaired! Pros: well kept grounds, friendly staff Cons: crowded, greens are marked up more

Run from this course.... 11/18/2002

Willows Run is a over-priced, pusedo county club or Eastsiders who want to pretend their affluent. While the links style courses can be challenging is well kept, this is really nothing spectacular or unique about any of it's holes. The par three course for the money best deal at Willows. It is well kept as many par three's are not and a great place for a take new golfer so that they may see portion of what a real golf course feels and looks like. I am not a cheap-skate and have paid over a $100.00 a round and felt it worth the price. So do yourself a favor go to Sumner Meadows if you like Link style golf, it offers just as much golf course, at a reasonable price. Pros: well kept course, friendly staff, food Cons: parking, priceS, SPEED OF PLAY more

Are you kidding me? 10/2/2002

No contour/grade change. Little landscaping, few trees. Unimaginative and unchallenging design. What could possibly be the draw? more

Swampy 10/2/2002

Willows is the worst, overpriced track on the eastside. The only good thing about it is that it's conveniently placed in the valley. I wonder if Paul Allen is paying for water yet or if he is still drawing it out of the sammamish creek. What a joke of a course. Pros: Location Cons: Price, Quality of Track, Bugs more

If you love golf, go elsewhere 8/27/2002

It looks nice from the outside, but this course is always overloaded. It takes at least 5 hours to play and you wait on every shot. The course is in good shape and the greens are nice. With 36 holes to play, you'd think that they could space the play out. The staff really doesn't seem to care that people are packed on the course, and that is the part that bothers me. If you don't mind the drive, play the Links at The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie. It is well worth the trip. Cons: very slow, over booked, over priced more

Over priced and over booked 8/26/2002

The only thing that this place has going for it is the location. If I payed the $40+ to golf here on the weekend and have to wait after every shot I would walk off and demand my $$ back more

pretty good! 8/3/2002

I haven't been to Willows since they added the new 18. At that time, I thought the course was very boring and super overpriced. Last week this course was the only one I could get a 4some on, and was plesantly suprised. The course was fairly priced, in good condition. What really make the course was the carts with the gps- having exact distance to sand traps, the tip of the green, back of the green was awesome. The ""pro tips"" for each hole was a waste. The course is tight, typically ob along one fairway, and lateral hazard along the other. The course also makes you lay up alot. I once played one hole with two 6 iron shots to get to the green. I would play there again. Pros: cart gps, location, late day pricing Cons: tight course, lots of lay-ups, not real interesting more

boring course - convenient location 6/27/2002

Play it for convenience not the challenge. The course is in very good shape, greens are nice for the amount of play but the track is just boring. Nothing here to keep you coming back for more. more
