A lot of people rave about this restaurant, personally I thought it was cramped, service inadequate and a very limited menu. Great location for the "Yuppies" located in trendy section of old Norfolk. Cons: limited parking, limited seating more

Editorial

  • The Scene
Wild Monkey sprang onto the scene a few years ago to help make Colley Avenue trendy. No reservations are taken and there's no printed menu, with specials posted on chalkboards bolted to the walls. When a dish sells out, it gets erased.

    The Food
Dishes such as meatloaf, salmon with apple chutney, and scallops pomodoro are delivered by casually dressed servers who usually hustle, although some will chat along the way. Norfolk lo mein is popular with everyone, not just vegetarians, as the Asian influenced dish is the most attractive presentation of a mountain of noodles. Dinner is busier than lunch and it's not unusual to have a short wait on weekend evenings.
