This is a rating of White House Learning Center II, not the original on Tyree Springs. (Although they are operated by the same family.) While there are a few individuals that worked there that seem to enjoy children, most of the staff seemed to be resentful about dealing with the children. The center is very poorly managed. Not respectful of employees and I never felt that there was any thought put into planning activities for the children....which, for what they charge, is a real shame. This one is a definite skip. more

Amazing Daycare! 1/9/2012

I would also like to say I am surprised and honestly do not believe the reviews below with only 1 star. My family is new to the Nashville area and when I was pregnant with my son it was very important to me to find a friendly, loving and reliable daycare. I visited a few daycares around the area and felt they were ""good"", however as soon as I walked into White House Learning Center I instantly fell in love! The staff was all smiles and so helpful. The facility was clean and had all sorts of toys and activities for kids. My son would be in the infant room, however there is room to grow and as he grows he moves onto a room with kids his age doing age appropriate activities. To hear the review below saying the teachers were forceful with the children and that they do not do anything with the kids is not true at all! My son is 10 months old and I have already gotten a ton of ""artwork"" of his hand prints and foot prints. The older kids have artwork and projects hanging up all over the walls. The teachers are very loving to the children and do many activities with the children. I highly suggest checking out WHLC, I wouldn't send my son anywhere else! more

White House Learning Center 1/3/2012

I have to say that White House Learning Center is one of the best daycares I've been to. I heard about it from a friend. It was everything she said it was. I wouldn' t take my child to just any daycare. I have known most of the staff for years, they have always been kind to me. The children there love them. So, hands down, I would have to say they are the best I have been to. I would incourage parents to take their children there. I'm sure they would love it. Feel free to take the tour or visit. I have read some of the reviews that were wrote. I see that i'm not the only one who agree's with this. It sad about some of them. I can honestly say I have never experienced any of that, But everyone is intitled to their opinion. Keep up the good work girls..!!!!! You are all doing great. Don't let those bad reviews get u down. I for one know how it is to have just one child to look after ahahaha, or five... ;-p If you want a good caring daycare, then White House Learning Center (either of them) is for you and your child. Check it out for yourself. Be your own judge, I'm sure you will love it just as much as I do. Pat yourselfves on the back girl's, you all deserve it.!! more

Best Daycare! 11/22/2011

First I would like to say I am very surprised at the last couple of reviews with one star. My child started going here from the time he was 6 months old back in 2003 until recently when we moved and we had to change schools/daycare. I always knew when I dropped my child off at the daycare, he was well taken care of. The staff at both centers are amazing. I am a first time mom, so i may have been a little over protective at times on certain things - especially when he was a baby. If i ever had an issue with a teacher i would mention it to the director so we could discuss. Not once did I ever think about pulling him out of this daycare in the 8 years he went there. In fact, i tried to find a house in a school zone so he could continue to go to this daycare.....Other than the reviews on this website, i have never heard anyone talk bad about this daycare. As far as them being in front of a tv or outside - do you know their routine? Usually in the early mornings for the younger kids, they watch tv when they first get there and at the end of the day as the parents come in. It doens't mean they watched tv all day. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone - and I can be one picky mom when it comes to my kid! As far as rates - I am now paying $70.00 a week for afterschool care that does not provide transportation for the kids. They have an awesome playground - but never take the kids out to play(at our new daycare center) ....at White House Learning Center i have seen teachers get out and play a game of baseball with the kids - not just once - but on a regular basis in the summer time. They love on these kids and treat them as if they were their own. So if your reading this review and the others - judge for yourself and go meet with the director at either location. You will not be disappointed. more

There are better daycares in White House 9/30/2011

At first White House Learning Center seems like a good fit. But it doesn't take long for them to show their true colors. The staff lacks compassion and management will always take the side of their teachers over the parent. That's why we moved. If you don't believe me, just take the rest of the town's word for it. White House Learning Center has two locations, but neither even ranked in the newspaper's ""Best of White House"" poll. That should tell you something. more

If you any PARENT you will not send your child here! 9/15/2011

At first they will sell you on the daycare but, things change very fast. The teachers are very bipolar one day they are great with you then the next they are very disrespectful acting as if they are two year olds themselves. On many different occassions I witnessed all teachers screaming at the children, grabbing in a forceful way. My husband also witnessed this happening. I never once saw the teachers sitting down with the kids and teaching them anything. Everytime I walked in they were either outside or in front of a TV! The price of this place is thur the roof. Very disturbing knowing my child was at this place for as long as he was. more

Best Around! 4/26/2011

I have had my boys there since 2003 and I love the staff & mgmt. They are like family to me and my boys! Recently had to take my kids out due to my job loss. They are inexpensive compared to others. The center is very clean! In fact, most times employees were cleaning and I would joke with them that they could come to my house next. The mgmt there is always courteous & I found myself looking forward to going in each day for a friendly smile and hug. Actually I still stop by to say hi from time to time. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH WHITE HOUSE LEARNING CENTER! I am a very protective mother and I felt very secure each day I left them there from 1 year old on, that they were being cared for. I guess it speaks for itself as my kids still are asking to go back- wish I had income to put them back in! B. Thomas more

Not a Winner 4/5/2011

When I went back to work after having my second son I enrolled the boys in WHLC. The tour was good and I felt good about the move. At first I thought all was well, but things went downhill fast. Many times I came in and my sons teachers were not in their classrooms, the smell of dirty diapers was overwhelming, and soon after starting the daycare my infant son developed a severe diaper rash. I learned the tour was the only good part about this daycare.\r That was only the beginning. I found management to be difficult to talk to, especially the director. I was talked down to and belittled. Not to mention the money. This center is one of the most expensive in town, but the quality of care doesn't match the price tag.\r After a few difficult months, I moved my boys to another daycare in town and the difference is night and day. You should expect more, especially when your little ones can't speak up for themselves. Make sure and do your homework before making a big decision like this one. more

I am sold on White House Learning Center! Since the day my daughter entered the doors, they have been like a family to us. My daughter loves it, and the staff is so knowledgable and helpful. They are a 3-Star Center and you can see it in every aspect of their program. I would recommend White Houuse Learning Center to any parent...you will not be disappointed!
