AFTER MOVING TO THIS LITTLE TEXAS TOWN I WASN'T SURE WHERE TO GET MY HAIR DONE, AND BEING VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT MY HAIR SO I ASKED AROUND AND TOOK THE RECOMMENDATION OF AN AQAINTENCE. I JOURNEYED INTO WET....I MET RUBY MARTIN, INVITING SMILE, FULL OF ENERGY, A DOWN TO EARTH FRIENDLINESS YOU FEEL AT HOME WITH. I TOLD HER WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND SHE WENT TO HER STATION AND BROUGHT BACK THE EXACT PHOTOGRAPH I HAD SEEN AND LOVED SO MUCH. RUBY TOOK ME BACK TO HER DEN AND THE TRANSFORMATION BEGAN. NEVER HAVE I MET A STYLIST THAT NOT ONLY HAD STYLE BUT COULD CREATE SUCH STYLE AS WELL. I HAVE NEVER HAD MORE COMPLIMENTS IN MY LIFE. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER ""SO CALLED"" SYLIST AGAIN....""STICK WITH THE REAL THING"" GRANDMA ALWAYS SAID AND RUBY MARTIN IS PERFECTION!!!! Pros: SUPER SYLISTS, RUBY MARTIN, GREAT LOCATION!!! I've been going to Wet since it opened and I've been a client of Micky Kibbe for even longer. No matter what I wanted to do with my hair over the years (long, short, strait, curly, red, brown, highlighted, lowlighted, etc) she has always known exactly how to create the look I was after even though my hair tends toward curly bride-of-frankenstein-esque mess. This is by far my favorite salon in austin. It's a funky and cool environment to get your hair cut. The staff is friendly and fun. I always recommend this salon to my friends and they've always loved their hair and the people that worked there. My stylist is Micky Kibbe she's the gorgeous blonde one. It's been a few days since I got my haircut and as a guy with relatively short hair, I've had many. Julia gave me the BEST DAMN HAIRCUT I'VE EVER HAD!!! never got my hair cut, but received a champoo from one of the resident vixens. ms. czech scrubbed and rinsed like she was sending me off to sunday school. the facilities were clean, the staff was friendly and the ending was happy. spend your money at wet. more

The last time I went there (and it was the last time), I got a stylist who had no business getting near anyone's hair, and worse, she kept trying to sell me product. I can't recall her name, perhaps because it was such a forgettable experience. I'm sure there are other stylists there who are good, but part of running a shop is ensuring that all your employees meet a certain standard.
