Heather is amazing! I asked her to pick the perfect color for me and I it turned out even better than expected! My hair is so shiny and soft, not damaged at all! I am hooked, I will definately be back! Pros: Excellent service and great vibe more

Jen Rische at WET 4/11/2007

I can't say enough about the skill and passion that Jen Rische has when it comes to hair.\r I'm a former stylist myself, and I can tell the difference between someone that is just going thru the motions, and someone that is truly taking the time to give you a QUALITY style/color. She listens, she advises, she gives you options, and she doesn't rush you through. I'd gone in to see her after going thru some 'bad hair' moments, and I'd heard wonderful things about her. Long story short, I haven't been this happy about my hair in AGES. She's given me the most exquisite cuts and GORGEOUS color - I get compliments on both all the time - and she's also so much fun to be around. Definitely makes the appointment so much more enjoyable!!! If you want something current, wild, sassy, bold, adventurous, unique - go see Jen Rische. WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE?! 3/23/2007

Eric Massey started doing my hair for what seems like forever ago. He is the only person that I let touch my hair because he literaly works wonders. He not only makes me feel beautiful, but he also makes me laugh and forget what ever I may be worried about. Some people may say that it is pricey, but it is well worth it. Everyone at Wet is so welcoming and makes you feel at home. Their expertice and advice is like nothing I have seen anywhere else. The salon's overall atmosphere is chilled and comforting. I have so much fun when I go. I do not know what I would do without Wet Salon. Pros: atmosphere, service, product, EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING!! more

Awesome salon and great haircut! Angelia rocks! 3/13/2007

I went to Wet Hair Salon to cut about a foot of length off my hair. I told Angelia that I was donating the hair to Locks of Love and I needed a minimum of 10 inches. She carefully measured my hair in a ponytail and cut off 12 inches for me to donate. \r \r I showed her pictures of haircuts that I liked but gave her the artistic freedom to do anything she thought would look good on me. The result was awesome! She spent over an hour snipping with shears and going back with the razor to soften up the look. My hair feels and looks amazing. I have a cut that is truly versatile and easy to style. I have never been so pleased with a haircut!\r \r Angelia is fantastic (and much less costly than I expected)! The best stylist I've found 3/1/2007

Julia is a a genius at color and can tame my son's crazy head of curls like nobody I have ever seen. Just getting your hair done at this super laidback, hip oasis on Congress is like a spa vacation. Be prepared to have everyone (even strangers) ask you where you got your hair done. Pros: Convenient Hours, Easy Parking more

Jen Rische is a Hair Jedi 1/29/2007

The atmosphere at WET is very relaxed, yet a ton of fun every visit. I have been going to Jen Rische for about a year and she is an incredibly talented hairstylist and artist. She is a real trendsetter with unique hair color and gives individual style to her clients. She can make the most drab hair look shiny and glamorous. She has magic fingers and jedi tricks. Go to Jen and you can be a rockstar. Pros: parking, fun atmosphere more

Wet is a great salon with a very relaxed, chic atmosphere. Everyone in the salon is very friendly. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. Ryan is by far and away the best stylist who has ever cut my hair, but I wouldn't discount anyone else!!! more

Great customer service 11/17/2006

I went to this salon b/c they carried DevaCurl and it was recommended to me. I was super-excited about trying the product so I rushed to purchase it. Well it didn't work out for me, but they gladly refunded my money and I was given a different recommendation. Can't beat that! Pros: great customer service Cons: small salon, not the best parking more

Micky is freakin' amazing!!! 11/7/2006

One day while shopping on S. Congress on a whim I decided that I wanted to get bangs. So I notice Wet Salon and decided to walk-in. They sat me in Ms. Mikey's seat. I am an African American with pretty course hair. Most stylist don't specialize in that. But she said she could hook me up. Let me tell you. My hair has never been so silky, shiny, and bone staight in my life. Never thought it was possible. It was like I had part Indian in my family (I joke!) Not only did she hook my hair up! She also told me how I can maintain my do. Recomend some great products (which are very reasonably priced). I've been going to her for about a year and my hair is soooo much healthier than before. On top of that she's just the sweetest person. Very easy to talk to. But even if you can't make an appoinment to see Micky. I've seen the other stylist work and they are just as awesome. You pretty much won't be disappointed with whoever you chose. I do think the price for a haircut is a bit pricey. But it's worth every penny!!! more

The Legend of Wet, Spilling into the NEXT Generation 10/28/2006

I've known Will O'Connel for about 18 years. He is an artist and gentlemen no matter what canvas his hands are working on. I have been going to WET for at least five years now and have NEVER had an average experience.My two daughters going on 19 and 16 began going to Will as they entered into their teens. He has seen their hair through several trends and has always provided hip, cool hairstyles that flatter their faces and lifestyles. He made my daughters feel beautiful. Thank You!Will has fixed my hair when I impulsively let another ""stylist"" touch it. Foolish me, I have learned that no one but Will can give me a color and cut that looks damn good three months somtimes six months down the road. As I head into ""middle-age"", Will continues to make me feel beautiful with healthy hair and fashionable color and cuts that keep me looking and feeling young.The atmosphere is all about Austin, comfort, making you feel beautiful and feeling the love. Will is the best - WET is a gem. Pros: Experience and Expertise Cons: I can't live there! more

Love this place! 10/20/2006

I tried out this place after I asked a friend where she got hers cut because her hair looked really cute. She gave me her stylist's card (Lindsey), and I've been going to her since I've been in Austin! The atmosphere is laidback, unpretentious, with no pressure to buy products (which is bumble&bumble and smells goood). She also specializes in color, so if you're interested, I definitely recommend Lindsey! I've recommended this place to all my friends, and they all love it! I've since moved after graduation, but I have yet to find a place like Wet...! Pros: free parking in the back, friendly stylist, on South Congress so lots of great shops are nearby Cons: none! more

BEST SALON IN AUSTIN!!! 10/14/2006

Will O'Connell is absolutely the best hair stylist/colorist I have ever been to! He listens to what I want and always makes my hair look PERFECT! I love him! Very relaxed, and not pushy. I am always satisfied when I leave and I have the best time in his chair. He has a great personality and I always look forward to my next visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Micky Kibbe Rocks. 9/19/2006

I went to Wet Salon last month for the first time and had my hair cut and colored by Micky Kibbe. It was by far the best cut I've ever gotten. Micky paid careful attention to my style and likes to give me a cut that made me look dramatically different and better. I have had SO many compliments in the last few weeks that I doubt I will ever have anyone else cut it. The salon itself is very nice, comfortable, and unpretentious. Pros: Very friendly staff, great atmosphere with local art, awesome location. more

Thank goodness for Wet 5/24/2006

I'd had a horrible hair experience, and my hair was falling out bc it was so fried. Wet was the only salon who would see me soon, without first having to have a consultation, etc. Leslee did my hair, and she did a wonderful job. I really couldn't believe she fixed it as well as she did. Rather than making me pay for all kinds of treatments, she did a great cut to get off as much of the damage as she could, and then added lowlights. It's a bit expensive, but after my horrible experience awhile back, I've learned that you get what you pay for. Leslee is great and I've been devoted to her ever since. When I started going there, I was just a poor college student and Leslee worked with me on price. I'll be here as long as I'm in Austin. more

left feeling like a rock star 2/1/2006

I went to wet salon not knowing what to expect. My friend recomended that I see Lindsey. I was reluctant at first because my friend has long wavy hair and i have short kinky-curly hair. My friend assured me that she was good with all types of hair, so i went in. She made my color sparkle and my curls more managable than they've ever been in my life. The styling advice she gave me changed my life. It's great to find a young, hip hairdresser who actually listens and works with my specific needs. I would recomend her to anybody who wants to look modern without looking like they are trying to be sixteen again. and she has really cool tattoos to go with it. Pros: fun, attentive, timely! Cons: hard to park, pricey, but worth it, loud atmosphere more

I always feel at home 12/15/2005

I was going to Jimmy before Wet even opened. He and his staff have always made me feel right at home. It's nice to go into a salon and have everyone treat you like your family. Over the years, I have been a blonde, a red head, a brunette and back to blonde. I went away for college, tried a numerous other places and have to say I will always come back. Jimmy's work is consistant no matter what color I've been and he always makes me laugh. As Salon Owners, Jimmy and Eric are the least pretentious people I've ever known. I've paid WAY more and recieved MUCH less. more

Ruby Martin will beautify you inside and out 12/1/2005

I am such a fan of Wet and of Ruby in particular that I get my hair cut there every chance I get--even though I moved away from Austin to NYC. Ruby is a totally innovative, creative, and talented stylist who combines listening and giving you what you want with great advice and ideas--she'll make you feel and look beautiful because she already thinks you are! Everyone I have sent her to, from my mom to my guy friends, has raved about her cuts and color. And she is so much fun that you'll want to get your hair cut once a month. more

She's a Goddess of scissors and paint brushes! 11/11/2005

I got my hair cut yesterday by Jen Rische and she did a fabulous job! I brought in a picture of the concept of the cut that I wanted and she did a great job of telling me her honest, artistic opinion of how it would and wouldn't work on me. I gave her artistic freedom with my lowlights and they turned out amazing! The cut is the best haircut I have ever had! My hair looks healthy and Jen has a plan for my hair that will keep it looking great for ever! Pros: wonderful skills, artistic, professional Cons: pricey, but worth it! more
