Westside Guests? 2/16/2012

Apparently they do not care about their guests as much as their grooming. I have never wrote a review but have decided to now due to their lack of guest service. My fiancee and I have come here before and have never really had any problems, but I guess that's only because they were ""Open"". My fiancee went in to shop for some dog food today not noticing the store hours, and seeing as to how people were coming in and out decided to go in figuring the store was open. Well one of the ladies who was there confronted her and told her the store was not open. When my fiancee replied to the lady that she was sorry and saw people coming in and out the lady merely replied with a sarcastic ""Yeah, well I have to open the door for the people dropping off their dogs now don't I?"" I guess service doesn't come to those when the place is closed huh? Either way we will not be going back. For all of you guests who want a better experience try Jack and Rascals which isn't much further, located on Montano and Coors. We are always greeted with friendly smiles and advice, and were even actually kept there past closing times once so the Owner herself could talk to us about our pet. Please don't support Westside Pets, would they support you? more

unacceptable 10/21/2011

I have never had my animal groomed at Westside Pets, so I am not speaking about that aspect of their business. However, their birds are kept in completely inhumane conditions. I recently went in to see an Eclectus parrot in a cage WAY to small for any parrot of that size. I have gone in a few other times and am always appalled by their lack of care for the parrots they sell. These highly intelligent birds need room to move around in, and ways to explore. They need multiple toys to play with, and a good diet. I have seen quite a few parrots in their store eating a diet of seeds in cages where they cannot even spread their wings out. Parrots need a healthy diet of pellets and fresh foods and plenty of space. If this business cannot afford to house their birds in an appropriate way, they should not just ""make do"" with whatever housing conditions they can afford. PLEASE do not support this shop. They do NOT care about their birds. more

Good Groomers 10/26/2010

We live not far from this groomer, and have taken our schnauzer there for the past 2 years. They always do a great job and if she's there by 8:00 a.m. the day of grooming, they're wonderful about having her finished by 11:00 or 12:00 which I really appreciate! I would recommend them to anyone. more

The Best Small Pet Store In Town 4/14/2010

I love this store I have been a customer here for 8 years, and never had a bad experience. The staff is very helpful and knowlegeable about the animals and products they sell. The groomers are also wonderful, they have taken care of my dogs for 5 years and I would not trust my dogs to any other groomshop in town (I did once and it was a big mistake). Pros: Down to earth small business Cons: None that I can think of more

I like them 3/5/2010

I like the ladies at Westside Pets. Whenever I take my poodle there they are always smiling and very friendly. Of course the place smells a bit, everybody takes their dirty, stinky dogs for grooming. I've never seen feces in the cages so I have no idea what the other customer is talking about. They have some dogs walking around lose, they seem calm and happy as well. They do a good job and prices are very reasonable. Pros: People are always in a good mood, friendly, helpful, caring Cons: Can't think of any more

Animal IN-humane 10/2/2007

this place is absolutely atrocious. It smells when you first walk in, the cages are full of feces. Pros: lots of animals Cons: all animals are in horrid conditions more
