Do NOT rent a house or an apartment or anything from these assholes!!!\r \r Their plumbers/contractor can't speak proper English, tons of follow-ups to get anything fixed in your unit. They levy invalid charges on tenants to fix stuff.\r \r Melissa, George Johnson, Ada, Dennis are some of the many folks we all dealt with. One Attorney mentioned that she felt sorry for tenants renting from these assholes. They bully the tenants, treat them like crap. These folks intimidate and don't fix shit.\r \r BE WARNED!!!\r \r They are located at 714 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco. more

An unethical, inconsiderate property management company when you have an excellent history of paying rent on time 4/11/2008

I really would like to rate WCPM ""not recommended,"" but I like Ada Wong, the assistant property manager, and my apartment's resident manager enough because they are professional and polite enough to increase the rating by just one star.\r \r I have been renting an apartment for 5 years under WCPM that is falling apart, has repeated rodent infestations, and other overdue repairs. I have had to call the department of building inspection due to non-response of complaints about broken appliances, damage, etc. I have always been on time with the rent, but I was a few days (not months) late in paying my rent due to an unanticipated medical emergency, and once before because I was angry that a sawed-off hole in the ceiling, due to a plumbing leak, was not sealed up for over a month, creating some unwelcome visitors to our apartment -- insects! I was served with a 3-day notice both times, no exceptions per the main resident manager who was nameless on the notice. With my excellent payment history, and the headaches I have put up with with the numerous repairs, I feel this was unnecessary, and completely inconsiderate ethically. What do they expect with what type of dwelling we are paying for? If it were not for the high city rents, I would have moved out of this apartment a long time ago. Besides, I would miss the dealers outside, the broken car glass on the streets, stolen merchandise for sale, and the heroin addicts that line my urine-smelling entrance. If you could avoid them as your property manager, you should. God forbid YOU have some sort of medical emergency that made you a FEW days late on the rent! Each inidividual I spoke with at this property management company was rude and cold. Having rented a unit in one of their properties for 2.5 years I got to know the players well and found that each tenant I spoke with had a story similar to mine. Havingnow moved, I can safely say (without fear of retribution) that my spiritual/religious affiliation was questioned (I am Jewish, and fairly liberal in my affiliation), each of my concerns was treated with disrespect, and none of my concerns was ever takenseriously until I registered a complaint with the Rent Board. These concerns included rats in the basement where the laundry facilities are, non-tenants appearing on the roof alone and in the basement alone, having secured entry alone, lights in the stairways were often out (45 degree angle stairs with no windows to add light), front security gate lock did not work when it rained as was the case with the security phone, etc. The office manager seemed to operate by intimidation and that ap more
