Best

Our food came out on time and was prepared just right. I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as ok but the food made up for it! I’d go her...

Worst

Sitting in the lounge was good with the service being what you'd expect. The view of course was great, however my wife found it difficult to find anything to eat and settled for ...

Filthy 12/16/2002

The view was great and rotating floor allows 360 view of Las Vegas. However, service was ok, food was ordinary, neighborhood was disgusting, distant from the heart of the strip, resort was horrible, too many elevators/detours to the restaurant - not too romatic. Pros: View, Rotating Floor, Service Cons: Disgusting Resort, Neighborhood, Value more

Not worth the Time 12/10/2002

This is a good place to dine if your not concerned about the view and more about the view. Much better places to eat in town. Pros: View Cons: Noisey, Portions, location: end strip more

It will take your breath away! 12/9/2002

This place is amazing and so is the view! My husband and I went for my 25th anniversary, and it was one of the most memorable dinners we have ever had. The view from The Top of the World is absolutely awesome. As you rotate around the city you see the beautiful lights, the helicopters and planes, and the city below. The food is pricey, but for a special occassion, it is more than worth it! Just be sure to order the shrimp scampi... more

Absolutely amazing!! 11/18/2002

My boyfriend, who is a NV resident, brought me (I'm from MN) to the Top of the World restaurant for my birthday. I was most impressed by the view AND the food! Extremely delicious!! Definitely a GREAT place for a romantic dinner for two! Prices were a bit high but I thought it was well worth it!! Pros: View, Food, Service Cons: Price more

good,too pricey 11/14/2002

Although I have no problem spending around $200 for a nice dinner with a nice woman. Top of the world is a little too pricey for what you get, and the food can be better. Try VooDoo lounge/restaurant on the 55th floor of Rio. Better food, and just as good a view. Also... Alize, at the Palms (across the street), excellent French cuisine and view... and you'll pay for it. Pros: 360 degree view Cons: food can be better, too pricey more

Dinner for two in Heaven! 10/23/2002

Location Location Location! The Top of the World Restaurant virtually has No competition as The Best Restaurant in Las Vegas. How can you compete by dining 1,149' above Las Vegas Blvd. and see the breath-taking view of Las Vegas and beyond. The food is heavenly prepared to perfection and the service is impecably royal. The prices are as high as the restaurant but, you get every penny's worth. This could quite simply be a memorably romantic dinner of a lifetime. Pros: free pass to the top Cons: prepare to pay top $$ more

Sinless..just Sinfully Good! 10/13/2002

We have eaten dinner there a number of times, and each time have been delighted with the food, view and service. What more can I say?Your trip to Las Vegas should definately include a dinner at The Top of The World! Pros: great food, beautiful view, great service Cons: , a little expensive more

Oooh baby - spin me! 10/3/2002

Loved the sultry, dark interior and the ever-changing view. The food was delicious, the service very good. It was my 1st wedding anniversary and it set the tone for the next ones - every year we looked for a sky-high revolving restaurant in a new city to celebrate in. This was the 2nd best - #1 was in Honolulu. But the Stratosphere was fun, the people were nice and the atmosphere was romantic. Gotta go! Pros: romantic, good food, good service Cons: Expensive, disorienting at times more

HIGH EATING 10/2/2002

A VERY QUAINT ATMOSPHER, BY THE TIME YOU ARE SERVED AND ENJOYED THE MEAL, YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THE WHOLE CITY BECAUSE IT TAKES ABOUT THAT LONG FOR THE PLACE TO REVOLVE more

Tops!!! 9/30/2002

This place is amazing!!!! Great view, great drinks, great food, great service. And did I mention GREAT FOOD??? Tip 1: Make reservations just before sunset. The lights and view and sunset are great! Tip 2: The drinks are stiff! The restaurant revolves so you really have to pay attention to where you are sitting if you leave for a smoke or restroom. Tip 3: Save room for thier dessert-a tower of chocolate!!! Tip 4: go for the show downstairs before dinner. A little hokey but a lot of laughs and very cheap! I found a coupon and it was only $4.00 pp. Tip 5: Ladies, becareful setting your purse on the floor. The floor moves... Pros: excellent Views, Excellent Food, excellent Service Cons: Not a one.... more

An amazing experience! 9/10/2002

I have been to Vegas twice, Both times I've been to the Stratosphere resturant. It's a lovely dining experience set atop of the city of Vegas! Great food, nice bar too. But nothing tops the beautiful view! The only thing I didn't like, is there's no smoking in the resturant. But you can go up the stairs to the bar & puff away. The view is amazing, you can see mts. in Colorado. At night the lights of the Srtip steal the show. Great place for engagements. Pros: Good food., cheap drinks at bar., Incredible views. Cons: No smoking in rest., Lines for elevator . more

Don't kid yourself 9/9/2002

Let's face it, in Vegas it's all about the show. Top of the World at Sunset is amazing. My girlfriend and I both really enjoyed the food we had when we went there but the truth is you're paying for the view, the beautiful sunset, and the look out on the strip once it gets dark. Pros: View, View, View Cons: Price more

Spectacular View 9/7/2002

Dining at The Top of the World Restaurant was more than generous with the spectacular view of the WHOLE Las Vegas area. It was the experience on Big Shot during the evening that hit the HIGH SPOT!!! WOW----it definately got my heart started! Pros: View Cons: wait in line more

The "TOP" is tops!!!!!!!! 9/5/2002

After our first visit, it became an instant favorite. We celebrated our engagement there and are returning for our first anniversary. We considered trying somplace new, but then thought why would we? The lobster and filet mignon is the best anywhere. We honeymooned in New England but still felt Top of the World's was tops. The view is sensational and what fun to see the whole city in an hour. We constantly tell friends and many have even had the opportunity to share the experience. A must, must do. Pros: lobster, filet mignon, scampi appetizer more

Top of the world's best is right! 8/30/2002

I have been there 10 times now (I am from Portland) since 97' and it has ALWAYS been fantastic! It's not only my fav. in Vegas, it's my fav. of all time anywhere! WHAT A VIEW! The lobster bisque is great! So is the filet mignon. Desserts are yummy too. Waitress there named Dahlia is really great. Sure it's expensive...but most wonderful things are! more

The Food, the View, the..... 8/22/2002

Price was high however not as high as the romantic view of this Fine Restarant. The food was perfect, drinks perfect, dessert perfect, service perfect, & the price was not really that bad for a Anneversary dinner, but it was worth every penny for the ambience and the evening. Pros: Food, Romantic, Service Cons: Pricy more

Awaken your Romance 8/19/2002

The inside lights are low, the outside lights twinkle like stars below as you sit what feels like miles above the city. With a view like this how can you not feel romantic and rekindle the the flame back into a bonfire Pros: ambience, food, view Cons: waiting for elevator, cold more

What a VIEW!!!!!!!!! 8/18/2002

Absolutely the best place to go for a romantic dinner with a view. The food was pricey, but very good. Even my 14 yr. old liked it, and she's hard to please. The service was excellent and be sure to time you meal so that your there during sunset. It was beautiful!!!!! Felt a little strange at first, the revolving section, but you won't notice the movement after a while. Be a tourist and take a camera for the best view of the local mountains. Oh, and don't forget the Big Shot upstairs and the World's highest rollercoaster that runs around the outside of the building. Pros: THE VIEW, Good service, Excellent food Cons: Expensive more

Above the Top 8/1/2002

This restaurant serves superb food. If you are looking for good steak this is the place. Their food will melt in your mouth. With the room slowly turning as you dine, you can veiw the entire city from far above, creating an even more romantic feel. more

  • In Short
Perched on the hotel's 106th floor, this revolving restaurant draws tourists and locals for its magnificent view. The vista isn't the only selling point: Along with an award-winning wine list, the restaurant dishes up masterfully presented American cuisine. The meaty rack of lamb is served in a rich, garlicky curry sauce, while the pan-seared sea bass is flavored with zesty lemon truffle oil. For dessert, there's the warm banana tart with vanilla-bean ice cream and caramel.
