Best

Our food came out on time and was prepared just right. I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as ok but the food made up for it! I’d go her...

Worst

Sitting in the lounge was good with the service being what you'd expect. The view of course was great, however my wife found it difficult to find anything to eat and settled for ...

A great experience! 6/17/2005

I took a party of 14 to the Top of the World restaurant Thursday night. All things considered, the experience was magnificant. The view of the city can not be beat and more than makes up for the fact that there the food and value was just good, not great. Everyone in my party had an experience that will not be forgotten. Also, I highly recommend the lounge for drinks, our server recommended the drink Zygo to several in our party and the drink quickly became a group favorite. Pros: view, drinks Cons: value more

Romantic View, Excellent Food, Expensive 6/5/2005

We made reservations for 4 adults. I heard the service can be iffy, but I found it excellent. The Maitre 'd knew his wines and we pleasantly discussed the underrated German wines. I highly recommend Andrea M. as your server. She was friendly and professional. She checked on our table without it feeling rushed. The food was excellent! The escargot and the ostrich were excellent appetizers. The Duck was perfect, neither greasy or dried out. The Rack of Lamb and the Veal stuff with crab were outstanding. Although flavorful, the Lobster Ravioli was over cooked. All in all a positive experience. However, as most ratings state it is an expensive treat. Pros: Service, View, Food Cons: Expensive more

A MUST DO IN VEGAS 2/7/2005

After your great meal and incredible view you must go to the observation deck and when you do go to this wonderful evening be sure to bring a good camerea. Not a cheap disposable that will not capture the view. Watching the rides from right below them and I mean right below is amazing. When you have dinner you dont have to go through the casino to get there, you have a seperate elevator which is very nice for tired Las Vegas feet! Pros: View, Elevator, Food more

ONLY THE VIEW IS GREAT 1/10/2005

I was not impressed at all with the food or the service. When all you get is a small piece of meat and nothing on the side... blah! And then to have to pay for a side dish that wasnt even worth half of its value. I just was not impressed with the food or the service. We were not treated very nice at all and we had to keep getting the waiters attention. I would go back and maybe have a drink but you can keep your 75.00 steak and lobster.. learn how to cook lobster before you charge that much for it! Pros: the view, the location Cons: , service more

Amazing Perfection!! 7/4/2004

My Husband and I got married in LV last summer, and made reservations at the "Top of the World" restaurant for our "wedding dinner". We were in heaven!!! The food was exquisite! I actually craved the Lobster Ravioli for quite some time after that night! The atmosphere is very romantic!! The views are nothing short of breathtaking! The employees treated you wonderfully! We also loved having a photographer take pictures and making a portfolio of our romantic evening!!! We are planning to return in another year or two, and I can already taste it!! The salads, breads, and cheesecake were all out of this world! The "Top of the World" is worth every penny!! Pros: service, food, views more

Like getting help at the DMV 5/3/2004

We had our wedding reception at Stratosphere Tower a year ago and received excellent service thus we decided to have our first anniversary there. Disappointedly, we were very dissatisfied with the very unpleasant reservation staff, the rude hostess, who did not wear her name tag so we couldn't report her to her manager. The hostess definitely needs some more training in greeting and treating returning customers with poise. Though the waiters were polite and the food was pretty good, which would taste even better if you sat down at the table feeling treated like a VIP. Pros: views Cons: , unfriendly hosts, expect long wait more

Straight to the top 4/6/2004

Although the Top of the World Restaurant might be considered to be an over priced fine dining restaurant at first sight, after the culmination of your dinner and seeing all of Las Vegas without even turning your head, the overall dining experience is a memorable one. The food is exquisite, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is heavenly which brings this Las Vegas restaurant straight to the top! Normally you'd have to pay $9 to just see the view but, if you have dining reservations, you get a free pass to the top. So, that's like taking $9 off the price of each dinner. Pros: VIEW, GREAT FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE more

don't get the $30 fish 3/30/2004

this is a great place for a date. very romantic. however, the elevator going up was very shakey, the restaurant also swayed because of the roller coasters above it. it's not very comforting when you're hundreds of feet above ground and the room is swaying [and i'm not talking about the revolving part.] our table was also too close to others. at one point the man next to us laughed along with our conversation. we had the portobello mushroom which is good, lobster soup: bland, $30 fish: tasteless. the waiter and staff are polite, though. really folks, this place is just for the view, ambiance, and service. Pros: romantic, good service, great view Cons: , shakey more

Lunch, go, now. 10/13/2003

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon recently, and I have to say, make reservations . . . go, NOW. We made reservations on our day of departure, and were more then pleased with the service, the food, the view, and the ambiance. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo, which had a very juicy and well cooked chicken breasts, and I had a Prime Rib that was cooked almost exactly to my liking, large portioned and well worth the 14.00 price. Furthermore, try the dinner rolls which is worth asking for seconds. The service was excellent as well. But as advertised, the view is MORE then worth it. The Seating area rotates 360 in 1 hour, and provides sites that are unforgettable. more

Well Worth it 8/21/2003

My husband and I spent our 8th wedding anniversary at the Top of the World Resturaunt. It was the most romantic dinner I have ever had. The atmosphere and view were just breathtaking. The service was impecable, (I don't think that I have ever been to a resturant that the waiter pulled my chair out for me). The food was a little pricey (we spent $190 for 2) but it was well presented, and melted in your mouth. A great place for dinner for two or a small group. Pros: great food, great view, great service more

INCREASE THE PEACE 8/20/2003

The atmosphere, food, and view were great. The only drawback was the fued that seemd to be happening between the waitress and the waiter. I don't know if it was a lover's quarrell or what but in fron of my wife and I was not the place to have it. Pros: View, Atmosphere, The thunderstorm Cons: only the bickering more

Exceeds your dreams! 7/23/2003

I've been to the "Top of the World" restaurant twice. Both times, I was simply in heaven (literally if you count the height of the restaurant!). I actually daydreamed about the Lobster Ravioli until I returned a second time. The ambience is very low key and romantic, soft jazz and lighting. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. The employees treated you as if you were their one purpose for working there. I'm returning in February for my honeymoon and once again, I'm dreaming of the Lobster Ravioli! Also, try the Stratosphere Chocolate Tower. Solid chocolate with a light chocolate mousse, drenched in vanilla sauce - out of this world! The "Top of the World" is worth the money to travel cross country ( I live on the east coast). Pros: Excellent Service, Wonderful Food, Quiet and Romantic more

Unusual. 7/2/2003

Dining on top of the Statosphere tower is something extraordinary, food was very good and service was fine. The only problem is that quite a few people were wearing shorts and I think it wasn't appropriate for dinner at the restaurant that charges $200 for dinner for two. Management should come up with solution for it. more

good not GREAT 4/29/2003

Dinner for 2 was over $200.00. It was very good. I am mildly experienced with fine eateries. The view was fantastic. Pros: view, service Cons: price more

Top of the World Restaurant 3/18/2003

Have been to the Top of the World Restaurant, and really enjoyed the experience. We were a large party of 8 and all enjoyed it. The only drawback was "no smoking" in the restaurant & we smokers had no other choice but to travel up to the bar area whenever we wanted a cigarette. more

Tops??? 3/11/2003

Went to the Top of the World with parents, wife, and kid. Had to wait 1hr. 20minutes just to get the food to the table. What did you get for $200 - a small basket of bread, five plates of meat(no veggies), and coffee(soda for the kid). I've been to alot of 5 star eateries and this was definitely the worst. Complained after about service and they gave us our coffee for free - like I don't know what the coffee costs them. Pros: view Cons: service, attitude of staff, lack of value more

Impressive 3/7/2003

I've dined here the last two trips to Las Vegas. I was so impressed within the first 10 minutes of the first visit that I had to come back with others. I brought my Fiance the first night and it was perfect. The service was quite unusual - it was great! I watched a fork hit the floor and there was a new fresh fork on the table without that person even knowing what he'd done. The food was great. I recommend the Lobster Bisque, as well as any meats here. Caution, it is easy to get carried away here and end up with a pretty costly bill. Be sure and finish the dinner off with a stroll around the top of the Stratosphere tower. Enjoy! Pros: Service, Delicious, View Cons: Price more

wonderful 2/4/2003

food, service, view, were great, prompt service, great view, food was handled correctly, would recommend more

New Year's Eve 2002 1/24/2003

My husband took me here for our anniversary dinner onNew Year's Eve and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to celebrate!!! Every thing was excellent from the service to the food to the view. We had filet mignon and it was the best steak I have ever had-you could practicaly cut it with a fork! This is an expensive restaurant but not overpriced. I feel we really got our money's worth from our 4 course price fixe dinner for $75 per person. Be sure you go at night to get the best view! Pros: The view!!!, The food, Great service Cons: Expensive more

"TOP SHELF DINNING" 12/25/2002

I have dined there several times and will continue to entertain friends and family there. Pros: romatic/quiet, quality chefs Cons: expensive/with reason more

  • In Short
Perched on the hotel's 106th floor, this revolving restaurant draws tourists and locals for its magnificent view. The vista isn't the only selling point: Along with an award-winning wine list, the restaurant dishes up masterfully presented American cuisine. The meaty rack of lamb is served in a rich, garlicky curry sauce, while the pan-seared sea bass is flavored with zesty lemon truffle oil. For dessert, there's the warm banana tart with vanilla-bean ice cream and caramel.
