My dress came in right on time, the tuxedos came right on time, and the bridesmaids were early! The girls in the shop were beyond nice and helpful. 5 stars for sure! more

I ordered my dress here before ever reading reviews on this place! Like the other lady that posted my dress was HUGE! I am a little girl and when I tried the dress on it fell right off! I was horrified! After man fittings and a large amount of money paid the dress was fine. Also the inside of the building is falling apart and disgusting! Holes in the ceiling and mold. They should really put some money into it! more

The first thing I noticed about this shop was how NICE the girls working there were! I didn't feel pressured at all and was able to spend as much time as I needed trying on different dresses. My maids came back with me the next weekend and we were able to pull as many dresses as we wanted to try on until we found the perfect dresses.. I definately reccomend this shop to anyone because of the great selection (soooo many bridesmaids!) and the customer service. A+ in my book!! more

I read online reviews about shops in Columbus and hesitantly visited them, but I ultimately ended up getting my gown at Wedding Plantation. I couldn't have been happier with my experience. They had a large selection of gowns and we're very patient as I tried on several until I found ""THE ONE""! The customer service was great too, the consultant I worked with was very patient and didn't rush me. I would reccomend this shop to everyone!!! more

I ordered a bridesmaid dress from the Wedding Plantation for my brother's wedding based on their recommendation for sizing. Although I wear a size 10 and my measurements fell between a 16 and an 18, they recommended I get an 18. When the dress came, it was so large, it literally fell to the floor. My mother pulled the dress to fit behind me and she pulled 4-5 inches of fabric. I called the Wedding Plantation and they said that I could come in to be measured again. There was a 1/2"" difference in my bust size and the attendant said she would have put me in a 14 with these measurements. Then why didn't you explain that a 1/2 inch could take you from an 18 to a 14! Basically, they aren't offering any help and I am out of luck. Now, I will have to have the dress re-made and essentially pay for it twice! Horrible service, obviously trying to increase their alteration business, and not interested in satisfying customers. Please be wary. No one wants to spend $400 for a dress that I could have gotten on Amazon for $140. I can't imagine what I would have done if I would have purchased my wedding dress there and that happened. No bride needs that kind of stress. Cons: Poor customer service more

This place had so many styles of dresses and were very patient with this bride-to-be who came in not knowing what style of sleeve I even wanted! I went to other places where I had to wear gloves and booties and not touch the dresses. This was different. It was personal, caring, and cooperative! I was married in 2007. Since then I take other dresses to them to be fitted as well. They are the perfect blend of professional and friendly. I felt very much at home. The Wedding Plantation had a very unique, no pressure atmopshere that my bridesmaids and I really liked.. two of the girls that work there (jenny and sylvia I believe) not only went out of their way to help us, but remembered me whenever I came in or called. The selection of dresses was also great, the gowns were gorgeous! I would reccomend this shop to anyone! Pros: Personal Service, Friendly Staff, Great Selection more

Helen at The Wedding Plantation has saved my dress!! I ordered a beautiful ""custom made"" dress off EBay from a chinese lady. Unfortunately when the dress came, it didn't fit at all. I took my dress to Helen and she said she could take care of it. We did my fitting and a week later my alterations were done. I tried it on and it fit perfectly! I love this quaint little place. The people are so friendly, and they remember you, and ask about your kids. There is no pressure to buy anything and the building is a beautiful old manor. I would recommend to anyone in the wedding spirit!!! more

After reading the other two reviews I thought it would probably be a good idea to share my experience with the wedding plantation. The store was a bit over crowded and some of the dresses did seem to be out-of-date, but the cutomer service was just what I was looking for. The lady showed my mother and I where the dresses were and left us alone! We were able to browse and try on as we wanted. She would periodically come back to check on us and would give her opinion if we weren't sure about something. It was much more comfortable than someone constantly by your side giving you the feeling like you HAVE to buy something. I ended up getting my wedding dress from there, along with my vail for a very reasonable price. So overall if you are looking for a place that is a bit smaller, where the associates will stay off your back, and has decent prices then I would recommend the Wedding Plantation. more

I agree with the last person who posted a comment. I had horrible customer service. They were rude and didnt want to help anyone out. I put half down on my dress and when it came in I wanted to try the dress on and they wouldnt let me take the dress out of the bag until it was paid in full. Before I pay something in full I want to make sure everything is ok with it becuase once its paid for in full they wont fix anything wrong with it. But how are you suppose to know if something is wrong with it if you cant take it out the bag. I will never go back there and will never recommend it to ANYONE!!! Do not get your dress there more

We have had horrible problems with Wedding Plantation. There was a designer dress that the only place in Columbus I could order is Wedding Plantation. What a mistake I should have driven to Cinncinati to order the dress. Last time we called they asked if we even ordered it. We ordered it 6 months ago and still no dress has been produced. We put down 1/2 which was $700.00, we were asked if we even put down any money on the dress. Overall, the women who work there are not nice or helpful. There is an owner who is never around and I'm always supposed to calls from and never do. DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS HERE! more
