Talk to the owner and you will get an education on all things ice cream- and if you come up with the flavor, he can usually create it. Their old-fashioned custard machine is over 75 YEARS OLD this year (can you believe that?), and is still making the best desserts in the country!\r
All of their products are made in-house, not made in a factory or from a pre-made mix, or made with cheaper fillers like other local 'frozen custard' places in the area. If you want the real deal, it's worth the price to have a cone with NO artificial ingredients. If you have allergies, most of their ice cream and custard is made without eggs- the way custard USED to be made, and how Premium Custard is made today!\r
They even have the original EUCLID BEACH custard (Mr. Weber was a former Euclid Beach employee), and the Higbee's FROSTED MALT custard (also originally from Mr. Weber before Higbee's replicated it- stop by the store for the whole story)\r
Counter staff is always friendly and happy to give out as many samples as you can handle. They're only open April-October and can get busy at night and on the weekends, so plan your trip wisely when the weather gets warm.
Pros: Service, authentic food, flavor and texture, can accomodate any group
