Awesome place to stay! 3/20/2006

My bridsmaids and I stayed at the Watertown Hotel the night before my wedding. The room was very large, with a queen size bed and a pull out bed. The bathroom was also very large and perfect for having our hair and makeup done the next morning. The staff were all very attentive and we really enjoyed our spa cart that was brought to our room. Prices here are reasonable, especially for the level of comfort and service. They have a wine bar downstairs which we didn't have a chance to enjoy, but I'd love to give it a shot sometime. more

Great for out of town guests 3/26/2005

My 70 year-old parents have made the Watertown their primary place to stay when they come from out of town to visit our family. While I think it's really classified as a "Business Hotel", it borders on "Boutique". The building is newly constructed with great modern touches. The rooms are well insulated (for sound) and super clean. My folks love the simple breakfast in the lounge - fresh fruit, cereals, etc.. and they offer wine in the evening. The staff bake chocolate chip cookies all afternoon. Free bikes are available as well - you're only two blocks from the Burke Gilman trail. It's definately the best hotel near the UW. Overall, it's the amenities and little touches that add up at the Watertown. Well worth it. more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Completed in 2002, this thoroughly modern looking hotel sports a sleek and tasteful design throughout. An immaculate, minimalist decor can be found in each of its 100 rooms, while the lobby and adjacent serving room feature unassuming watercolors, vibrant, plush sofas and futuristic looking table-chairs. Glass sculptures, portholes, and the entrance fountain reflect the hotel's subtle water theme.

    The Details

Guests are a short walk from UW campus and the U-District, while the hotel's free shuttles connect them to downtown Seattle, University Village and Woodland Park Zoo. Many of the hotel's rooms offer views of downtown and Mt. Rainier, while all guests receive free in-room Internet usage and access to a fitness center and loaner bikes to work off the "robust" complimentary continental breakfast.
