Waterfront Tavern

I would never go back there again...We have had problems with them many times...But tonight was the end for me...Not only had we felt they water down there drinks...The owner was the rudest person I ever met who runs a business .....I own my own business ,and I would never talk to any customer the way he did...I would always try to make someone happy...And this isnt the only time we have had bad service ...complaints on the drinks ...and many more reason why we will not be back there.... more

I'd been craving for some scallops, and when my friend mentioned the Waterfront Tavern, it made my mouth water. We had a lovely time this past Thursday and we will surely go again next week. more

I am a fan of Waterfront Tavern. Try to come with as many friends as you can, or with your family, this place is extraordinary. You walk in there and immediately you can feel the warm atmosphere and the hospitality. I love the fried haddock here. My friends adore the clam chowder and so do I, but I want to have a different favorite food.\r Just go once and you will love the place. more

I've never thought I would get lousy food or bad service here, but my last experience has convinced me that I will never dine at the Waterfront again. First the host had a miserable attitude, second the service sucked, and finally the food was lousy. I will take my money and business elsewhere where it will be appreciated. more

If you are lucky enough to get a table by the docks, I’m sure the view will take your breath away. The food is very well cooked and well priced plus the staff is very nice and friendly and well trained. They know exactly what wine to recommend to go with your meal. All in all, this place is awesome. more

I am a regular customer here and honest to God this place has the greatest food I have ever eaten. The food is out of this world and impeccable service. more

My first time at this place was when I moved to town in June '08, lots of people recommended it, but none of those people had actually been there, just heard about it. I think it would be fun for younger people who like to just hang and drink. The food wasn't bad, but very average, desert was really good and they had a decent variety. Sat on the deck for dinner, wasn't a very good view, I don't know why people wait so long for a table out there, its mostly a view of the road and concrete pier/bridge. The inside has a lot of personality, every time I go I see something cool I didn't notice before (like the tables in the bar). The waitstaff was not mean, but not very friendly, even when it wasn't busy, they just wanted you to get in and get out. Price for stuff was alright on some items, but really over priced on others-we paid half the price for a dozen clams at a restaurant down the road. A guy at the bar told us about Castaways, a place a little further down the road, glad we went here so we could meet that guy, the next time we went out was that restaurant and it was amazing! Couple months ago we met friends at Waterfront for some drinks, the bartender was too busy flirting with some of the young guys at the end of the bar to wait on us-I went to the bathroom and came back and she was just asking my group what they wanted. This continued the rest of the night, waited forever for refills. If you like young loud crowds, this place is for you, otherwise, try a more chill place. Not a bad restaurant, but definitely not for me. more

It is a wonderful restaurant, the best place you can find north of Syracuse, the Italian food is very good and it comes at a really reasonable price and the service is great with attentive staff. They also have a big variety of fish which is great because I recently discovered I like fish. I first came here with a friend for his birthday and I had a very good time, I can tell because I’ve seen the pictures. Beautiful decorations inside and out not to talk about the view, lake Oneida which can entertain you if you’re in that mood. I would highly recommend trying it out, you won't be disappointed. more

I went to the Waterfront Tavern in Central Square for a birthday dinner and brought 13 guests as well. They had the table ready ahead of time; also the staff was very courteous. The food itself was well-prepared, and we only had to wait a few minutes for our order. I had the fried seafood platter (haddock, shrimp, and clams) very well prepared and excellent selection of spices. As always I enjoyed a lot eating here. more
