In Fort Walton Beach, there is a Buddhist Temple on Mayflower Avenue. Even if you are not Buddhist, they welcome people to come and see for themselves what a relaxing place it is. The monks are from Thailand, and they are all very friendly. I would recommend going at least once to everyone, to see and learn some new things about another culture, or simply to find the relaxation that everyone seeks every once in a while. You can also meditate and find a little serenity there. They have a little pond where they feed fish, and on some weekends they like to gather many people and have big meals together.
