Walser Toyota of Bloomington

I bought my car 3/13/14 and it's been back to the dealership with issues repeatedly with no solution in sight. The most recent idea they had was to lie about the USB port failing so they could replace it. The dash board goes black when I drive at night, which is DANGEROUS, and the battery won't hold a charge, so my 7 month old car may, or may not start at any given time. It is a lemon and I need it replaced. more

I bought a Nissan Truck from Paul Bond at Walser in Bloomington a couple weeks ago. I had such good service and Paul was so easy to deal with. I had only one concern about receiving my extended warranty money back on the car I traded in for truck, and Paul called me at home to reassure me that I would be getting a check back for this warranty. I was pleasantly surprised that he called me and his call put my mind at ease. I love my truck and would definitely do service with Walser again and I will be telling my friends and family about my GREAT experience. It's people like you that make buying a vehicle so easy and that is the way it should be. I thank you for making my experience such a good one. more

The oil change went well with not problems or time delay. The Low tire pressure warrning light always being on was solved by hooking the computer to the car and clearing the code for the low tire pressure warning light. more

Spike is groovy. Usually when I go to purchase a new vehicle I think about the salespersons at a dealership. As soon as you drive into the lot it is like you are a piece of bloody meat in the middle of a swarm of sharks. We did not expierence that at Walser. We walked in and asked at the information desk to speak to a salesperson. Right after that, Spike introduced himself to us and asked if he could help us. We told him that we were looking for a used truck. He took us to the lot and we picked a couple that we wanted to take for a test drive. Spike was very helpful and polite. We left that night and two days later, recieved a call from Spike asking if we were interested in anything that we drove. We told him that we wanted to come back to drive one Tacoma for a second time. This time we had to bring our children with us. We ended up purchasing the vehicle. As you know it takes quite a while to take care of all the paperwork involved with the purchase of a new vehicle. They had a nice area for the kids to watch movies, and they had coffee, and water. I had a migraine headache and no medicine with me. I asked Spike if he had any advil. He replied, that he didn't have advil but had alka-selzer and offered them to me. Within 15 minutes my headache was gone. Later on that night the kids were telling us that they were hungry. He opened up his personal lunch and offered the kids each a cheese stick just to tide them over until we were finished. We really enjoyed the experence at Walser and especially Spikes hospitality. We will definately concider purchasing our next vehicle at Walser. And we would want to deal with Spike on our next purchase. He wasn't just a "shark" trying to make a sale he actually cared about us. Thank you Spike for everything. more

Good: Informative, honest, friendly, knowledgeable, listener, non-aggressive, sense of humor, disarming, and a down right pleasant experience in buying a used car.. Bad: Nothing. Improvements: Honestly can't think of any.. Other: This was our third experience in purchasing from a Walser dealer. Each better than the last. Not a single disappointment to be had. A fair price and a most pleasant transaction. Walser should be training all companies that sell a product. I'm in sales and I would most certainly attend. If we had more companies like this our economy would be booming!. more

Good: Overall we liked everything about Walser Bloomington and our experience of buying a used Lexus GX 470 through them. Tim Chepurnoy was the Sales/Customer Specialist that helped us. Tim was not pushy, was very informative and knowledgeable, he gave us the information we asked for and let us decide what was the best decision for ourselves, never once did we feel any pressure to buy. We were in an accident a week ago and our car was totaled. After this crazy event, we needed to get another car, but were not looking forward to "getting sold"...dealing with salesman...etc. We chose to look at Walser Toyota in Bloomington because a friend recommended them. I gave Sam a call and he was available to meet us at our convenience. We met on Saturday and both Sam and his team gave us excellent customer service, great information, and no pressure at all. We were able to make the right decision for US and they supported our decision. We are now proud owners of a 2011 Prius and got everything we wanted plus more! I recently bought a used Toyota Sienna from Walser. I was pleased with the professionalism provided by my salesman D Hoppes. Price was not negotiable, but was favorable to other Toyota Dealerships. Walser Toyota provided me with all of the information I requested. Also had dealings with the Service/Parts Department and would recommend the service provided there. Sales staff were helpful and followed up with email or phone calls without being pushy, or aggressive. Bonus is the free car washes and oil changes - can't beat that. I would buy another car from Walser Toyota. more

On 12/22 I rented a car from Walser Bloomington for pick up 12/24 and return on 12/27. I received the confirmation on 12/22 as well. On 12/24, when I went to pick up my car rental, your offices were closed. I had planned to get to the car rental via cab from Northeast Minneapolis ($43 cab ride, with tip $50). Upon arriving, I soon realized your offices were closed and not only was I left at your location by the cab, but I also was not able to drive to the U.P. of Michigan for Christmas with my family. I then had to call a cab to take me back to my home (another $50). I feel it was incredibly inconsiderate and unprofessional of Walser to confirm a rental car service, and leave me stranded for the holiday weekend. I had chosen Walser Toyota for my car rental since I had leased a car through them and felt that this rental would go without error. Normally, I would have gone with a national, recognizable rental agency. more

What a great car buying experience. Not only did we get a great price on the new vehicle, but a great price on our trade. We were treated well by everyone in the building. Paul Schroeder made this usually painful process a lot of fun and the best car buying experience we have ever had. The customer service was top-notch. We were about to leave when Greg came out and explained to us that he was not going to get commission based on the price of the vehicle but rather selling a vehicle. After test driving the Corolla it was obvious that it was the car we wanted and it fit into our price range, thanks to the financing office. Greg was very friendly, offering useful information. He is probably the best salesperson at Walser and deserves to be promoted. He certainly knows his information and was able to answer every question we asked. The only thing I didn't like was the length of time it took, but that is just a given when buying a car. more

My husband and I finally needed a new car and we knew we wanted another mid-sized SUV. We were considering the Highlander, Acadia and CX-9. After driving the Highlander, my husband and I both fell in love. Our salesperson, Greg Elfstrum was able to find us a model that suited all of our needs while still fitting into our budget. Greg was great to work with, with a no pressure attitude and he said several times, "I just want you to get the car you want and the price you want." We'll need another new car in a year or so and will definitely be calling Greg again. And after our most recent snow storm in Minneapolis, we love the Highlander even more. more

I walked into the Walser showroom convinced I would not be driving home in a new vehicle as the car I had to trade in was SO upside down and lost value like no tomorrow! Greg Elfstrum helped me find a beautiful 2011 Toyota Camry XLE which I love and we were able to lease the car, transfer some debt, put a little money down and only increased my monthly car payment by $6.00 total! I will in 3 years be able to turn this car in and be right with the world! I was impressed with how hard the entire Walser team worked to make this happen for me. It was a great experience while buying new 2011 Rav4. Greg really helped us with all the questions and technicalities surrounding the vehicle.
