Editorial review from Citysearch 5/14/2013

I've had only positive experiences with this agency. They really get the job done! I moved to New York after law school and they found me my first job after being licensed. They also found me my second job which I love and where I hope to stay for a very long time. Their clients are the largest, most respected financial firms. They give honest feedback, useful career advice and excellent interview preparation. Their work goes beyond just finding a temp assignment for you. They call regularly and advise you on how to be successful and get hired. I was hired at both my first and second jobs within a few short months after starting my assignments. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I am very grateful to Wall Street Services for launching my career as a legal professional in the banking industry. This is not where I saw myself when I graduated law school but I absolutely love it! more

Did we go to the same Wall Street Services? 3/31/2011

Overall, I wouldn't give this place a zero and I didn't come on here to bash it, although I do feel like most of the positive reviews were fabricated and can't help but to notice that most just made a profile to leave one review for this company. I went in a little before Valentines Day. The two receptionists at the front were pretty rude and standoffish. The test itself was not hard and it truthfully seemed to only take about 30 minutes if I can remember correctly. The person who interviewed me seemed reasonably professional and did later follow up with a job for me. I'll give them a chance, but the place is in desperate need of a personality makeover. more

I wish I could give 0 stars 2/12/2011

February 2011. Horrible agency. Horrible customer service. Absurd interview and vocabulary. Horrible customer service. Very Discouraging staff. Note: most all of the positive ratings below are dated 2008. more

Very professional and care about people 4/1/2008

I am very grateful to WSS for helping me find a job in a very difficult market situation. I had hard time after graduation trying to find a job on my own. However, immediately after submitting my resume to Wall Street Service, I got a call from them and was invited for an interview and an assessment. They started working with me right away, submitting my resume to their clients, including big financial firms. I got 2 interviewws with Goldman Sachs this way, which I know I would never get on my own. People at WSS helped me all the way through the hiring process, calmng my fears and giving me advice. Thanks to them, I got my dream opportunity with GS. I would highly recommend their services. Not only they are professionals and have extensive contacts in the industry, they actually care about the people who come to them for help. I felt like an individual and not as one of many lost on the marketplace. more

Wall St Svcs is #1 3/26/2008

I generally do not participate in writing reviews. I prefer to allow people to have their experiences and allow that to be the best learning process. However, I felt compelleled to put my own review of Wall St. Svcs be cause I want people to get a better understanding of the service they provide. Yes, the testing process is about 1 hour in time. But it is time well spent (isn't your job search worth it?) in properly accessing your skill set for particular assignments. How many of you have been placed in jobs and have asked yourself ""what am I doing here?"". Wall St Svcs. is trying to avoid the rush and place syndrome of most firms with little or no concern for the applicant. My personal experience at Wall St Svcs. has caused me to refer others because they take the time to understand and care about my employment needs and concerns. I went out on several interviews and some with the same company, but all for positions that were interesting and held out promise of career growth. I have temped for many years with several agencies, so my experience is varied and skeptical to begin with. I can't promise that everyone will have the same opportunities with Wall St Svce as I did. But I can say that the staff is always professional and friendly. And I felt that the Placement Advisor earnestly tried to match my skill set and experience with all of the interviews I was sent out on. I am still working with Wall St Svcs and I am currently on a career path at a very prestigious international Investment Bank. If this is what you seek, I wish you the same and better in your job search. Peace Pros: Variety of job assignments, location, pay rate, benefits Cons: Work; some of us have to do it. more

The best of the best 3/14/2008

This is an agency that clearly accepts the best of the best candidates! Pros: Exceptional Service and top level companies Cons: testing is somewhat challenging but worth the end result more

Easy to deal with. Great space. 1/25/2008

In the past few months, I have registered with several agencies. I get dressed, interview style, put my best face on, walk out resume and passport in tow. Feeling good feeling confident. Now the confidence and the good vibe can fade quickly if you open the door to a staffing agency's office and you see four chairs, no magazines or water in sight. That can be a turn off and a waste of time BUT when you walk into Wall Street Services open air office with the communal desk going on down the middle, they take your coat, you see the little pint size poland springs, and the classy cranberry colored chairs, you think ok, i can do this. I like it here. Then you test, you meet with an interviewer or two. They make you feel like you are great and can get any job. I enjoyed the experience I must say. And I would work with them any time. Good stuff. Pros: great space, good people, good music Cons: lots and lots of paperwork... more

If you are looking to enter the workplace after a long hiatus or to advance to a higher level job in Corporate America. Pros: Friendly, Helpful, Professional, promptly return calls and emails more

best staffing agency in NYC 11/15/2007

Wall Street Services is by far the best staffing agency I have ever worked with. The professionalism is unaparalleled and the quality of people are beyond top notch. The staff is extremely courteous and very diligent in their approach to finding the right match for employer and employee. more

awesome - no complaints so far... 11/11/2007

I have used different agencies and WSS has been the best experience so far. i have little experience in the corporate industry and instead of being snubbed, they are just as diligent in finding me work. the turnaround time is QUICK! literally i sent them my resume one week and the next, i was working. They've been professional and at the same time, i can shoot the breeze and have a laugh with any of the staff. I was recommended to WSS from friends and i continue to recommend WSS to friends. check them out! theyre awesome! Pros: returns calls/emails very promptly, great location more

Class Act 11/7/2007

Located ajacent from the famous Wall Street Toro statue is the employment agency that put me in the mix of Corporate America. I was very fortunate to send my resume out over the internet to this agency because not long after they received it, I was aked to come in. I have been to plenty of agencies before but my first impression of this place was professional and very respectful. The staff and their beautiful office just conveyed a high sense of security and know how within me, so I did not mind so much when it was time to take the series of annoying skills tests. After just 2 days of waiting, I was placed at a great company, making a really good rate. Then I was transitioned into another job with a major investment bank, which I have just recently became a full time employee with. The staff is extremely supportive and helpful and I could go on and on about why anyone looking for employment, should seek out Wall Street Services as their employment agency. Offering a full list of benefits for the temporary employee like transitcheks and medical coverage. They are the best search light you can ask for in this highly competitive job market. Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. High profile client list and great benefits Cons: can't think of any more

Great Agency 7/19/2007

Wall Street Services found my resume when searching on some of the larger Internet job posting sites (Monster, HotJobs, etc.). While I wasn't getting much feedback from these larger sites, Wall Street Services helped me find a challenging position with one of the most elite companies in both New York and the world. The entire interview to hire process took only three weeks. They remained in constant contact and served as a very professional liason between both myself and the organization. I look forward to the opportunity they have helped me obtain and working with Wall Street Services in the future. more

The definition of unprofessional! 4/7/2007

I have several years experience as an administrative assistant, and since my previous job ended, I decided to return to temporary work. Pros: Absoultely none Cons: unresponsive, does not follow up, unprofessional! more

Best Temp Agency in NY 12/21/2006

On 9/11 I was temping for Wall Street Services down in the financial district (on Wall Street, as a matter of fact). The staff was incredible during the weeks and months following the attacks. Because their office was essentially in a no-go area, they set up shop in a cafe in the Village where we could come by to pick up our checks. Everyone was very kind, and wanted to make sure that I was doing okay. I had only been working for them for about six weeks. more

Your own private cheering squad 12/5/2006

I'm an actor/singer, new to the city, and was referred to Wall Street Services through a friend, also in the arts. I have nothing but raves about this incredible team who works hard to find me work. I have been with other temping services outside of NYC, and never before have I seen so many professional and unique qualities in one staffing firm. Not only are they artist friendly and willing to work around crazy audition schedules without raising an eyebrow, but they find you work at the best financial and legal firms in the city, all while cheering for and encouraging your success. I guarantee that it does not get better than this. Are your skills rusty? They have free tutorials. Feeling nervous about the interview for your dream job? They will prep you right before you go! Don't be surprised if they show up at your current assignment with a holiday gift. Not to mention health insurance, and the feeling at the end of the day that YOU MATTER. You work for them, but they are also working for you. Wall Street Services is in my corner?the closest thing to a family when it comes to the scary world of big city jobs. They make me want to do a better job not only because I represent myself, but because I represent them. A fantastic company. A welcomed alternative to life upon the wicked stage. more

Wall Street Services Rocks 5/15/2006

Really and truly - I've used Wall Street Services for years and have to say that they are by far the best staffing agency in the City (that I have personally used!) If you want to work -they will find you a gig - at a nice wage too! Staff is courteous and professional - I send everyone who is new to the city or stuck in a rut to their doors - Wall Street Services will light a fire under your tail!! (In a good way!) more

Cream of the Crop! 4/9/2006

WHAT OTHER AGENCY: -Sends gifts to its employees on the job just to say ""they appreciate you?"" -Offers FREE training programs? -Offers comprehensive health care benefits? -Has a discount shopping plan for employees? -Throws parties for its employees? -Has representatives that are easily accessible and return your phone calls? ANSWER: FEW TO NONE!!! As a temp employee of WSS for many years, I can honestly say to anyone reading this, that you're wasting your time if you decide to register with another agency in the city. If you enjoy being a faceless name; then go ahead and register with one of the ""cattle call"" agencies in midtown that will forget your name before you walk out the door! But, if you're serious about getting a good job and having regular employment with a kind and knowledgeable staff that cares, then register with WSS. Hands down, they're the best! Pros: Friendly, Always finds work, Free training more
