Walgreen does what they claim; sell drugs and sundries. They even have a couple aisles of food items and a refrigerated section with food there.\r

But, I don't go in there except for one thing, Valentines Day when I buy boxed candy for the secretaries. They have a decent selection when that time of year rolls around.\r

The rest of the year I drive past Walgreens after observing the relatively high prices on past visits. Walgreens doesn't carry anything I can't find elsewhere at a lower cost. Perhaps the elderly or another group can get low drug prices there but since I seldom need to fill a prescription I haven't compared their drug prices.\r

The employees seem like nice enough folks but not so nice I will pay more at Walgreens for their products.\r

I have noticed in the Walgreen weekly advertising circular that comes with the local Sunday paper that even their so-called sale prices are often higher than the normal prices for the same or very similar item sold elsewhere.\r
