Walgreen Drug Store

My husband and I have been judged and treated with the most disrespect including comments uncalled for. My husband is a disabled vet been thru 3+ back surgeries and a full list of other problems. The pharmacists seem to think that they don't have to fill hand written perscriptions by the doctor himself just because they feel he shouldn't be taking what is prescribed to him. It is not their call and my husbands doctor was even frustrated. A pharmacists in particular who wouldn't fill a medication because they did not want to and sent my husband into severe withdrawls said "it's not my fault you are a drug addict". Really? A disabled vet back surgeries nerve damage and PTSD? Wow and the other customers who witnessed this occassion were beside themselves. It's ridiculous and needs to stop. They aren't there to judge and act as our doctor. His doctor hand writes his meds for a reason, to get them filled!!!! We were also lied to by a pharmacists and checked up on what she told us. She lied and we are taking care of that matter to a higher authority! Thank you for allowing my husband to express his feelings. more

I was overjoyed when a Walgreens was built close to where I live. The store in general is clean and well stocked. I can find toiletries there at low prices. But I have had constant poor service from the people who work in the pharmacy. This is not a one time occasion, but an on-going one. Not only is the service slow, it can take several hours (or even until the next work day) to get a prescription filled if it is called in directly from your doctor's office. If you are in need of medication, who wants to wait that long? Also, I have found the pharmacy staff to be somewhat rude in their demeanor. I feel like they talk down to people. My husband has a terrible time getting a pain medication refilled there, even though it is a maintenance drug and his doctor ok's the refill every single time. My husband feels that the rudeness is racially motivated, but I cannot say that that is the case 100% for sure. more
