The only reason I began using this bank was because it was very close to my office. Big mistake! I finally stopped banking here last year because of an incident in which my debit card was lost/stolen (unbeknowst to me). The thief made purchases across the U.S. and Wachovia did not find the activity odd or suspicious nor did they notify me. It was only until I checked statements that I realized money was missing. At that point I contacted customer service who were rude and took several hours verifying who I was and canceling the card. I feel that if they took the even the slightest amount of precaution with the suspicious account activity as they did in trying to verify who I was then the situation would have been avoided entirely.
