While the prices seemed reasonable and selection was good, our experience of the install has been a complete nightmare. First, they ran out of carpet, so our Thanksgiving deadline was missed. We had to wait three more weeks for the rest of the carpet. We had to ask them to put in temporary carpet because we kept stepping on the tacks. After they installed the new carpet, it bunched up, so we had to call and ask someone to come out and fix it. After they came out to fix it, a week later, it started to come up of the tack strip. After making endless appointments and consequently missing work, I ran out of patience to ask them to come back yet again to fix the carpet. I told Arnie about my frustrations and asked for a discount of 15%. He agreed, thankfully. Unfortunately, we have not been able to fix it because we have come to find out that you need to rent a special carpet tool to fix it. I called Arnie back, hoping they'd help out, but he refused and said they won't come back because he gave us a discount. He said unless we pay back the discount, they won't address any problems we might have with our carpet in the future. While I'm sure Arnie is generally a nice guy, he was very frustrating to work with because I was the one who had to call and follow up on when the carpet arrived, when it would be installed, and how to resolve any problems. I felt like a very badly treated customer once the install happened. I do NOT recommend anyone to go to Vogel's.
