Salsa has a lot of bite! 5/9/2009

I went here to meet friends for a drink. I thought I was going to have to shoot off flares to get the barmaid's attention. The free chips and salsa were great, until we reached the bottom of the salsa bowl and found a crown (yes, I mean the kind you find in someone's mouth). The barmaid showed no interest in what was lurking in the bottom of the bowl, perhaps, to her, it was no big deal. It would have been nice to have been offered a free fajita or something, but frankly, I don't know if i would have wanted to eat that either. For some reason that I can't explain, I went back a few months later and experienced the same ""service"". I paid $8 for a jack and coke WITH NO JACK! I have had thousands of drinks in bars and this was the first time I could not detect any alcohol. At least I didn't have to worry about getting pulled over on the way home! Pros: Great for bad singing and underage drinking Cons: Food, service more

LOVE IT! 2/18/2009

I've been twice, and both times I was very happy with the food, and service. The waiters are polite, and helpful. The ambience is warm and friendly. The establishment is clean and inviting. I was very pleased, and recommend the shrimp chimichanga and a pitcher of Margaritas! Yummm! more

That was bad 11/10/2007

We tried this restaurant about 2 years ago and it was so so. We went back tonight and wow, what a mess.\r The food was not good at all. Meat was all dried out; there were things in my dish that just did not belong there. I have eaten at Mexican and Southwestern restaurants from Long Island to Mexico and I can honestly say this might have been the worst.\r Service: I can honestly say that I don?t think I was ever in a restaurant where I didn?t get at least one smile. This was comical. Not a smile from the staff all night. Did you ever get a feeling that someone didn?t want to be there? Well, I wasn?t the only one. You can tell the staff just did not want to be there.\r There were several mistakes made with regard to drinks. The pregnant women at the table received the drink with the alcohol and my wife?s had none. They made new ones but no apology. When I eat at ANY Mexican restaurant, my glass of water is always full as I order things spicy. Not once did they fill the water glasses up.\r I am usually a very big tipper even if the service is so so. Tonight might have been the least amount I have left EVER. I was embarrassed to be there.\r \r P.S. We always order fried ice cream for dessert. That ball of CHOCOLATE CHIP ice cream was all wrong.\r Pros: Salsa (pre made) Cons: Food, Dessert, Drinks, Price (for what you get), service. more

Delicious Surprise! 8/22/2005

We ate there for the first time on Aug 22nd. We almost went to a neighboring pub but changed our minds. We were seated right away and started on nachos and salsa. I particularly liked the salsa because it wasn't chunky. We opted for steak combinations. The food was excellent as well as the service. We weren't rushed and no one was there every 5 minutes disrupting us with ""Is everything OK?"". We had time to taste and enjoy everything on our plate before that question, which was nice. Too bad we had no room for desert. The big surprise was that one meal was 1/2 off on Mondays. Gee, $33.00 for 2 delicious meals and a beer each. You can't beat it. Our waiter is hoping we come back every Monday. We just might make it a monthly date! Stop in and enjoy a great meal. Pros: Food, Price, Service more
