Best

love Vitos! I go there with my girlfriends when we want to have a good night, great drinks and food.

Worst

The Service is horrible. The Bar's staff are all shady. Hopefully, they will go under soon!! My visits there have kept me from ever going back.

All I can say is.....thank you. 10/11/2010

This place....well, it's just plain awesome. I can sincerely say I have not had East Coast Italian food in this town since I've moved here. Now I have. Best Saltimbocca I've had in a long, long time!!!! I really think you're going to enjoy the whole experience. Great decor. A really good Martini. Hot servers (male and female). The music is a bit mellow at times (live grand piano players), but perfect for dinner and the people watching can't be beat. I'm very happy we have a place like this in Seattle. Check it out, but don't tell everyone. Wanna make sure I can always get a table. Congratulations to all involved. You've hit this one out of the ballpark. more

Fabulous new owners- fall 2010. 10/5/2010

Absolute perfection in this newly refinished jewel of a space. Whether you're having a full sit-down Italian dinner, or simply a cocktail in the lounge, you will be pleased each and every time. Pop on in and meet the new crew- I think we'll all be regulars soon enough. more

New Owners, Complete Remodel, Classic Awesomeness! 9/15/2010

The reconditioned Vito's, which is opening tonight, cannot be judged by the prior reviews. The reviews were true for Vito's before it closed about a year ago after a tragic turn of events, but new reviews will need to be written for what it has become. I went to a preview evening on Tuesday. Wow! They've done great things to the space. It's still the Vito's you might remember, but it's been washed and polished. New additions to the decor, like the awesome mural along the back wall, are in keeping with the spirit of the restaurant's original intent back in the day. The well trained and attentive staff are well put together and professional. The cocktails are fantastic, as one would expect from this follow-up venture by the folks who brought the Hideout to First Hill. I didn't get a chance to sample the food, but it smelled and looked fantastic. I'm looking forward to going back this weekend for the full experience. And, there's entertainment. The piano player from the old Cloud Room and Ruby Bishop, the legend, among others. They've done a great job with restoring a Seattle landmark to its former glory. It's an asset to the First Hill neighborhood and to the Seattle restaurant scene. more

Don't think so. 12/28/2008

Live in the neighborhood and have always wanted to go to Vito's but after reading the bad reviews I think I will stay away and especially after the shooting there............. more

Worst Place On Earth 3/2/2007

The bartenders are bullies. I saw them bullying a girl (after she paid them, by the way) and accuse her of "stealing a drink" that was placed right in front of her (she was in a big group of people, which makes me think it was an easy mistake to make) and then they kicked her and her friend out. They also physically pushed her, and 3 employees yelled at her repeatedly. I am offended that this business physically and verbally abused their paying customers (after the fact, I might add). I will never visit this bar again, needless to say, and I hope that others will speak up for the defense of the poor couple who were treated so terribly. I wonder how many times this has happened in the past. It seemed practiced and forced, and a complete surprise to the poor vistimns of their abuse ..... more

Terrible Bar Service 8/2/2006

I have been to Vito's several times and have yet to have anything resembling decent service. Once during happy hour, I waited about 10 minutes before the bar tender even made eye contact - the place only had about 7 people in it. When my friends arrived, they also had trouble getting drinks - by the time we finally got our drinks it was almost time for us to leave and we had to scarf them down. NOT RECOMMENDED. The only reason I didn't give them a zero is because the ambiance is swanky. Cons: abhorrent bar service. more

Vito's is an untapped resource 12/12/2002

A person who doesn't like Vito's is no friend of mine. All this place needs is more young, energetic, attractive people going there and everyone will benefit. A girl I knew wasn't feeling well and she went outside. The doorman saw her situation and gave her a glass of ice water and some bread. This was just last night and I feel I have to reward courtesy like that. In fact, since I was so pleased with the service and the stiff drinks, that I might go back there again tonight... more

Please people... 7/21/2002

This place sucks worse than I can put into words! The ladies are fat and minimally dressed, the guys are wearing sun glasses in the dark bar along with heavy chains on their bloated necks, the cover is outrageous, the music consists of about 10 tracks repeated endlessly, the drinks are weak, and the employees are hot-tempered from the heavy steroid use. Oh, and let me tell you about the stupid red carpet they roll out every Friday and Saturday night around 10 PM. This place sucks; I'll say it again!!! Pros: there, are, none Cons: weak drinks, too expensive, beefcakes and hos more
