The Vintage on Southland Drive is a very unique shop, tucked away from the noisiness of Lexington's big shopping malls and strips. The store carries a wide variety of collectibles, scented candles, antiques, and Christmas ornaments. They hold a monthly drawing for a gift certificate, so if you like to collect antiques and beautiful home accents, the Vintage is the shop for you! They have a few pieces of antique furniture, but most of their inventory is smaller items and collectibles. Occasionally, they will feature a coupon in the Lexington Herald-Leader's Deal of the Day section, for a free ornament of some kind. Don't miss those! They make great gifts and stocking stuffers. They have a variety of candles; I personally find their soy based candles very tempting. They also have many of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks and leaflets in stock, if you know someone who enjoys those. Around December, they decorate the store with several themed christmas trees, covered in beautiful collectible ornaments. The exterior of the store has white holiday lights around the eves, and during the holidays, nearly the entire building will be covered with lights, so you can't miss it.
