Awesome! 3/6/2011

I would have given them 5 stars, but the service was just not that great, but the food and decor is very comfortable and relaxing. I liked everything that I tried. That doesn't happen at too many restaurants. It was like tasting Italy. more

Best Italian in for miles.... 2/14/2011

I will keep it short and sweet. \r \r This place has the best Italian food in the area. It is tucked away, but not hidden. Great food, GORGEOUS view, and very professional, yet friendly staff. I especially love the big round table to the right where all the family, friends, and staff gather to talk, eat, or just casually greet you as you walk in. A touch of class and home all in one. I have been here for dates, special occassions, family dinners, and a wedding. My favortite is a breezy Sunday afternoon on their beautiful back patio over looking the water with a glass of wine. more

CHE BELLA COSA 8/30/2009

I love Villa Capri, because i have been to italy and its hard to find a place that has the scenery you find here. The food is very good and down to earth home feeling. I have never had a bad dining experience here.....and i dont say that just because i know the family, to me that is another plus. There is truely , no place like Villa Capri. Went there today and enjoyed the sunday brunch buffett and then outdoors to get lost in the scenerey. Che bella cosa. Pros: casual or formal!! Cons: formal or casual!! Lol more

best italian in the nasa area 12/26/2008

this is my favorite restaurant. is good for many reasons. let me start with the food. we have been coming here for the past seven years and have never been dissapointed is a nice menu just a little bit of everything from small to large dishes and the flavor is always perfect sure you will have different opinions like my husband who likes frenchies better but over all i always comeback here, the other important thing is that is so romantic becuase is on the water and if you come by boat you are always welcome aslong as you are dress casual not bathing suit at least i don't think, i also enjoy the dessert and the fact that we can seat outside you can't do that in many places. over all i love villa. more

Bad Italian experience 4/26/2008

We sat and saw ants on the table. Not a big deal but it goes worse from there. As you walk in the restaraunt, they have a large wine area but the wine list is lack-lustre at best. 2 Chiantis to choose from at an Italian joint is ridiculous. I can deal with that but the food and service was horrible. The waitress was not around much. I ordered Chicken Parmesan with a side of pasta. The chicken was tough as it was frozen and watery like it sat for a while. The pasta marinara was horrible. It was a very dark sauce with a bad flavor. The pasta was very stale and had sat in water for a long time. My Wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball was soggy and wet. Spaghetti in her case was undercooked. Still crunchy in the middle. It took forever to get the check. I wish there was decent Italian down here . Still looking, hope its out there. Moved from Cypress and I miss Luigi's and La Parmigiana. Chef Ramsey would have a field day with Villa Capri. Will never go back. Pros: Good location. They could capitalize on it. Cons: The worst Italian I have ever had. I would rather Chef Boy'Ardee more

Great setting, very romantic 2/14/2008

My girlfriend and I went to Villa Capri for an early Valentine's date and couldn't have been more pleased. It was cool outside, so the patio was closed but it looked beautiful and I hope to enjoy it on future visits. The restaurant has Mediterranean architecture and ambiance, which was aided by a guitarist playing at the perfect volume (excessive volume is a problem I often have with live music). \r \r The service was excellent, although the restaurant only had a few other patrons. Our waiter was courteous and knew all of the evening's specials. \r \r The price was also very reasonable. Both of our entrees were about $15 each, which included the salad bar. I ordered a chicken dish sauteed in a white wine sauce with artichokes, garlic and mushrooms. It was very tender, with the exception of a small piece of one of the breasts that was very thin and had been slightly overcooked. The flavors complemented each other well, and I would definitely recommend trying this dish. My girlfriend ordered a shrimp dish, which she seemed to enjoy. Our only complaint was that the shrimp was served in sauce, but the tails were left on which made it difficult to eat. The grilled bread and garlic infused dipping oil were more than enough to make up for this. \r \r Overall, the evening was a very positive experience and I look forward to coming back next time I want a romantic dinner. Pros: Great setting, good food & service Cons: The best aspect of the restaurant can only be enjoyed when the weather is good more

Great food and atmosphere! 9/16/2007

My fiance and I loved this place so much, we are getting married there next year. The food is spectacular. Their hospitality is #1. They did forget an appetizer we ordered. But a lot of the waitstaff is young (but very friendly), so we gave em a break and still left them a good tip. We were too full to eat the appetizer anyway so it worked out. Great place to go for a romantic setting. You won't be disappointed! Pros: Good selection, Great food, romantic, outdoor seating available, waterfront, friendly staff, boaters welcome (dock space) Cons: a little pricey but not bad more

Best rated ambiance of any restaraunt in Clear Lake/Seabrook 1/4/2007

It doesn't get any better than this, you're a fool if you don't agree. I can't think of any other place in Clear Lake which compares to this hidden paradise resembling Capri. I am originally from Naples, so I traveled quite often with my family to Capri, and when I first arrived I couldn't believe my eyes, that somewhere in the United States of America is a restaraunt resembling my country and not only in view, but much more importantly, hospitality. If you can't afford a vacation to Italy, just drive down the street or across town and you won't be disappointed. \r Ciao Pros: Atmosphere, hospitality, view, more

mediocre 12/18/2006

The view is great but the food is just so-so. The menu is limited to a few items. The facility itself could use some sprucing up. This could be a beautiful place if they would invest some time and $ into it. The service was great and the people were friendly. Pros: The view is one of the best on the lake. Cons: The food is just okay. more

One step away from a perfect dining experience 5/26/2005

Service, service, service......they need to learn about service. I am sad to say it may have been the worst I have received at a place where everything else was so good. Wonderful food, wonderful ambiance, great value - but I question having a dinner (originally went searching for a rehearsal dinner spot) here again due to the service. It is a shame.......... Pros: Food, View, Outside seating Cons: Service more

Absolute Heaven!! 10/14/2002

One sentence should sum it up. You gottta eat here! more

horrible service - a let down 8/7/2002

We went for Sunday brunch. The view is great - but the view can't make up for the horrible service and ""average"" food. We could not get the waiter to re-fill our glasses or even take our order in a timely manner. The food was ok - nothing to go back for. If you go, hopefully you will have a better experience. Pros: great view Cons: bad service, not so great food more
