Without a doubt, this is Baltimore's best video store (there is another location on Cold Spring). Video Americain boasts an outstanding collection in nearly every genre and a very knowledgable staff. They carry selections in both VHS and DVD formats. The only downsides are 1. The organization is not very intuitive and you may feel stupid asking where something is if you can't figure it out on your own. 2. The rental period is not very long compared with some of the national chains and, let's say, NetFlix. Nevertheless, especially if you're into art or indie or international films, Video Americain simply can't be beat. The city is better off for having this local business.
