My son was at Victorian Montessori from age 10 months to 18 months. During that time I saw Elizabeth yelling at her employees. I thought it was because she was hard of hearing, but after several episodes realized that is how she treats her employees. Their school calendar was constantly changing, they started with 4 weeks of vacation and added extra days to the end of winter break and such. When asked about it they told us we could take our kids out if we didn't like how they did business. When my son was 18 months they decided to close the daycare early for an ""Emergency"" chiropractor appointment, told the parents during drop-off in the morning that they had to come and pick up their kids early, and when I was 5 minutes late, they left my wailing son in the car of another parent, and had not authorized to pick up my son. I saw them driving away as I pulled in. I was livid. When asked about the incident they told me if they trusted the parent I should too, and she did not think she did anything wrong. I gave them 1 weeks notice and took my son out. At which point they threatened to sue me for tuition for the remainder of the year (about 5 months) I called Department of Early Education and Child services to investigate and they found them at fault along with other issues (infants sleeping in cribs with blanket, and left alone...) I wrote to them several times asking for my deposit back which they refused to respond to. I took them to small claims court and won the case and just got my money back. I hope people can learn from my experience.
