Reccomended parts supplier 7/19/2007

I've never reviewed a place on citysearch before, but after reading the 3 very negative reviews on the site I feel like Vicious cycle is being misrepresented. I have a couple of older Japanese scooter/mopeds and I've gone into this place about 6 or 7 times for parts, accesories, etc. I've dealt with 3 different people at the counter, and all of them were helpful and polite. They've special ordered things for me with no hassle, and received them quickly. Their prices are reasonable. When they haven't been able to get me the a part I needed because it isn't available anymore, they even referred me to someone who could make something custom here in town. Even though I work on my own bikes and I haven't spent a whole lot of money at Vicious Cycle, I feel like they still treat me like a worthwhile customer and really try to help out if they can. Just the fact that someone there was willing to dig through their old parts to come up with a wierd fuel line fitting I needed that was worth about $1 indicates good customer service. It would have been very easy to say "no we don't have that" and send me on my way. Over all, I reccomend them as a parts supplier, but I haven't had them service one of my bikes so I can't comment on that aspect of their business. I am an electronics repair guy, however, and I will state that rare occasion that something leaves my shop and it still has problems I didn't detect can really aggrivate people, causing them badmouth the whole business based on one fluke unfortunate experience. The vast majority of people that have good experiences at a shop don't necessarily feel obliged to comment on how good it was, because good is what people expect. I almost didn't even stop into this place because of the bad reviews I saw here on citysearch. I'm glad I decided to see what they were like for myself anyway. more

Worst service anywhere 2/16/2007

Vicious Cycle took a poor running bike, and turned into a death trap. Returned my bike 3 times, twice for unstoppable fuel leaks while riding! They had it for over a month, and over $500 later, the bike was worse than when I took it in. Not to mention being hung up on by toughguy Joe, and being accused of "scamming" them somehow. After all that, he said "I can't fix a junky bike like that." Should have told me that before all the drama dude! Pros: non Cons: name it more

vicious cycle provide you with johhny rottin service... 10/19/2006

there arent too many places to get your bike worked on in this town but in my opinion vicious makes it one too many. not only have they handed me a bill for over four hundred bones for doing zero good to my bike but they have also literally ruined a friends bike. This seems to be the consensus among the riders i know. Those 25 point check-lists you get back from them after a service dont mean a thing. I have received them while it was obvious many of the points were checked but not done. The friend I referred to had the same thing happen but in his case they neglected to replace the engine oil they drained out of his case. Now if you cant rely on that, what good are they? Theres lots of attitude too, especially from that long haired dude. The lady who works there seems to be the only one who will give service with a smile rather than crappy service with lots of attitude. Vicious is a risk not worth taking. Pros: the woman who orders parts and such is very knowledgable and friendly Cons: just read the review... more

Don't expect much... 8/22/2006

Honest to God, I was told my expectations were too high for them to continue providing service for my bike. As a new rider, it would be nice to know that my carb was tuned for city driving before I left on a 2,500 mile ride to the Canadian Rockies. If you are an experienced motorcycle owner and know exactly what you need you might find this place acceptible. Pros: Convenient location for some. Cons: Attitude more
