I've tried "Vics Again" on Walnut 3 times now. The first time the coffee was weak. The second time it wasn't hot enough. The third time I tried a chai - it was also weak and bland...

terrible 4/21/2015

They made my burrito with wrong ingredients and less than a full tsp. Of meat for the steak burrito, filling totally with potAtoes.left off the other stuff the menu said ca.e on it. When I complained they said you and so and so come in all the time and harrass us. Isaid I am a newcomer from a other state visiting, which is true. I asked for the managers number because they said there is nothing we can do for you.and they said I, 'll give you a number but I guard tee he'll never respond and not ever answer. more

Different Owner of the Different Vics 6/16/2010

It's sad to read all the bad experiences people had at Vics in Boulder. The "owner" if you can even call him that is a childish jerk who shows NO ONE respect, especially not his employees. HOWEVER, the two Vics in Longmont and the one on Table Mesa are owned by a different man, who is absolutely wonderful! The people who work for him are wonderfully kind and spend time making sure the coffee is fit for each and every customer. So for all of you who say you will never go to Vics again, I would suggest going to Rob's stores instead of Mike's...your experience will be a complete 180. more

I don't want to play 3/22/2010

Great coffee is the staff of life for me, but the "scene isn't worth the caffeine". Maybe if I were to ride my expensive bike there or drove a Prius fueled by electricity generated at the coal-burning power plant, I'd feel more a part of it. more

Not so Hot 2/14/2010

I've tried "Vics Again" on Walnut 3 times now. The first time the coffee was weak. The second time it wasn't hot enough. The third time I tried a chai - it was also weak and bland. I get the impression the staff are new to making drinks and aren't doing it very well. I give a bit of a break because this is a new store for them, but 3 for 3 bad experiences is a bit much. I've never been disappointed in the quality of my drink orders at the Vics on Broadway or 30th. They'll never get a good customer base going if they don't get on top of it. Too bad; I like the location. more

Still Love It! 3/5/2009

Vic's is still my Coffee Spot of choice. more

Please DON'T give them your business 3/2/2009

I have had the same experience as a previous poster. Look, the coffee is good, but the chairs and tables are crappy, as is the environment, and they have this snooty "don't put your shoes on the furniture" policy that is absolutely ridiculous. There are also almost no outlets and in addition for being yelled at for having my foot on a chair, on another occasion i was yelled at for reaching behind the back counter (not used for making coffee) and plugging in my laptop cord. I frequently encounter attitude from the servers, who tend to throw receipts at you, ignore you, and act a little too cool for you. And I tip every time. To add insult to injury, they are the most expensive coffee I've found in Boulder. I have never written an online review, so I'm not a serial complainer. Please, don't give these people your money. I will never, ever go there again. more

Owner is an Asberger 6/13/2008

The guy is a freak. I was there with my 3 year old, and we were the first to get out some chairs and seat ourselves outside (7am) with our baked goods. As I was putting up the umbrella, the owner inserted himself into our space, and with *no* social niceties proceeds to tell me how to put up the umbrella (duh) and then pushes me out of the way to do it himself saying: "this is my umbrella". I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone, with no response... he is devoid of the ability to interact with humans in a polite and reasonable way. No kidding. The employees looked absolutely miserable there, and no wonder. We will not go there again. Ever. (Vic's on 30th St. in Bldr.) more

Vic's is where you'll find me and my kids. 10/10/2007

I'm new to Boulder and have a very young family.....two kids in tow. The first place I just happened into was Vic's on Broadway. Vic's has great coffee and the atmosphere is FUN. My kids are welcome and that makes me a regular. I appreciate the ownership welcoming children and their parents and pets.....thanks guys! more

Vic's Coffee Shop 8/15/2005

Do you like your coffee strong? How about consistent? Yeah - me too. That's why I go to Vic's Coffee in Boulder. Great, strong, coffee in a very hip, non-corporate atmosphere. And, if I'm hungry, there's a bagel shop next door. There's even music sometimes, the baristas are usually quite friendly, and everyone there knows my name. more

i have major beef with this place 8/12/2005

i'm sorry. first of all, it's got great coffee, and WIFI, and good snacks. the kids that work there are fun. that said, the management is twisted. the owner accosted me for having my foot up on a chair. he treated me as an inferior, saying that "he doesn't care where i am, but you don't do that anywhere. people have to sit on that seat." i scoffed him off, because, though he's right about, he came up to me and treated me like his child, like an inferior. so, watch out; if you're doing something wrong in Mike's point of view, you may recieve a public execution for it (yes, he was loud and obnoxious, and everyone around was staring at him and i). i've also heard that this is common, from the baristas - oh, and the turnover is ridiculous. but the yuppies keep on going back! but i do know that almost 100% of the staff at joe's espresso are former vic's employees - including joe! other possibly incriminating things i have heard about the management: +sexual harrassment from mike (boss), +cheating on taxes (using different business names in different towns to keep a low tax bracket or something like that) +not offerring health insurance to this girl who was full time who had a kid and had been there for a long time, but offering it to other people who had been there just as long as she had. i heard it was because "she wasn't working hard enough". +firing people because "he doesn't like them" i really can't stand underdeveloped arrogant babies in leadership positions. big personal no-no - and especially in a town like boulder. so, i'm never going to vics again. or vic's again again. more
