Amazing food I usually have my birthday dinner here each year, always a good time. Great service. The wine selection is great, they have a number of Lambruscos, which is rare. ...

totelloni 5/27/2003

if you like totellini you'll love this place. big servings and fresh pasta. not my favorite italian place in the city, but still very good. it's very small and there is a chance you may have to wait a few minutes, but if you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for italian check this place out. Pros: big servings, ricotta cheesecake Cons: small, small menu more

an italian gem 3/12/2003

The deliciously hearty lasagne and home made ravioli (the chicken and wild mushroom with truffle oil tortelloni is amazing) at rock bottom prices make this place a gem. The decor is functional and basic, with dark stained wood and individual candles at each table. Be prepared, it's cash only. Pros: great low prices, delicious food Cons: cash only more

quality, inexpensive food on park avenue 1/23/2003

this place is amazing, once your wait is over. its cute and small for the young crowd's liking, but the food is beyond amazing for the price. DONT EVER TAKE THE BLACK SPAGHETTHI WITH CALAMARI OFF THE MENU! For a mere $8.95, it is to die for. I keep coming back to this place over and over again! Pros: inexpensive more

Worth it's Wait in Value 12/10/2002

Been here a couple of time and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It's a small place, cash only, limited menu and wine selection and they do not take reservations, yet I still find myself going back and waiting on the lines to get a table. The sparkling red wines are something to try. The portions are generous and all the dishes have been good to my palette. Can't name a particular dish that beats out the rest because they are all well made. Went over this weekend and one of our pasta dishes came out a bit too salty, there was no hassle and the waitress was more than happy to replace it with something else. Overall: attentive service, good food for the value makes the waiting time well worth it. Pros: well-made food, reasonable prices, helpful wait-staff Cons: cash only, no reservations, crowded more

Great food, bad wait 11/23/2002

The place is small, and is first-come first-serve. Won't seat you until you're all there. The food was quite good, and the prices were really reasonable. If you avoid peak times (weekend nights), this is a great place for italian. Pros: good food, reasonable prices Cons: small and cramped, no reservations, short wine list more

Amazing value 9/12/2002

Crowd is young. Food is not what you get at every other little Italian joint. Truly reflects its regional theme--even the wine list. Service is casual but friendly. Big drawback is the noise level--when we first arrived, it sounded like we were standing on the no. 6 train platform. Pros: inexpensive Cons: noisy more
