low cost my foot 3/15/2011

They claim to be low cost, but the vaccines I got my dogs previously was easily half the price, and I wasnt told how much I would be forking out until it was too late (my pups already had their shots). The staff is mediocre at best. I could have gone to me regular vet and paid the exact same amount but gotten the service my pets and I deserve. Rediculous. I will NEVER use them again. more

New doctor is super 4/15/2010

Good: Bright and clean facility, helpful staff, doctors that listen and communicate well without medical jargon. Prices are lower than many other places and we can walk in without making an appointment if it's urgent (though sometimes the wait can be long depending on what's ahead of us). They're open on Sunday which really helped when our labrador got into the baking chocolate. I'm sure we would have had to spend $1,000 at an emergency clinic if Vetco hadn't been open.. Bad: We had to be referred to an eye doctor as they lacked the instrument to measure eye pressures. To be fair, our other vet doesn't have one either. Improvements: Longer evening hours. We both work and there have been times one of the dogs has been sick. Then it's "Is it serious enough to go to the emergency clinic or can it wait to morning?". more

Impatient Doctor 9/24/2009

The doctors seem to be in a terrible hurry at all times. They spend little time discussing the pet's situation or condition with the owner. I wish I were not stuck with them, but since I started with them a while back and it would be a hassle to transfer all the charts, etc. to another practice, I have no choice but to continue seeing them. If I could start all over, I would not go there at all. My next pet will go to another vet. Vaccinations are cheap, but a cheap vaccine does not make up for otherwise poor service when it comes to other health problems. more

Inexpensive Vaccines! 2/25/2006

Vetco Hospital does make stops on a regular basis to several of the pet stores in the area, providing pet vaccinations at a fraction of the price. They are a local animal hospital that wants to reach as many pets as possible and ensure that they are receiving the proper vaccinations. I always bring my pets to these clinics, though I have been turned away in the past as I arrived too late and wasn't able to get in before Vetco was finished for the day. Make sure you come early and you'll save up to $70 per pet on vaccines. more

Vet 8/17/2005

I see the Vetco people at Petco, where they do vaccine clinics twice a week. Their 'kitten' plan is unbeatable - less than half the price of my regular vet. The staff who comes to Petco is really nice and helpful. It helps to get there early, though, since many people take advantage of this deal. more
