I have never had such a great experience when I came to this salon. Every stylist has their own individual room which made me feel so comfortable because its private. Being able to talk to my stylist one on one without the entire Salon listening to my conversation is a plus. Each stylist is great! They are always busy but very respectful and HAPPY. No Boug'e stylist @ this Salon. Everytime I go I experience something different. Its like home away from home. Check out this salon just once. No matter which stylist you go to you'll leave happy!! Pros: Very Comfortable and Upscale... Cons: N/A more

Go see Jenn Strand! 4/10/2009

I love the Verve Lounge, especially stylist Jenn Strand. Finally a hair designer in LA that is down to earth and actually listens to what you want. Jenn takes into consideration my lifestyle, my current hair issues and my hope for an outcome and comes up with great solutions each time. I also send my husband to Jenn and she has worked wonders! We can't live without her! I also really appreciate Jenn's care for the individual client. I never feel like a number or rushed through, and she has never given a hard sell for product (she will make helpful suggestions, but I've never felt pressured to purchase product like I have at basically every other salon I've been to in LA). The Verve has a very relaxed and friendly vibe. Everyone there is super nice. It is hip without being snobby and I've always felt comfortable and welcomed there. Go see Jenn Strand - it is definitely worth a try! more

Dwayne is the BEST! 3/5/2009

Dwayne (the owner of the salon) is by far the best colorist I have been to..and I've been everywhere! He's an artist! The salon is comfortabe and private and clean. I would never go anywhere else more

Finally-great hair in the right atmosphere!!! the best 1/20/2009

\r i have been going to verve lounge for about 2 years-every time i go (about every 5 weeks) i leave happy relaxed and well cared for-the whole atmosphere is about relaxing and having dwayne's full attention. He is amazing!!! i drive from malibu but it is well worth the extra time more

Great Stylist No Fuss 1/19/2009

Dwayne Ross is an expert without all of the fuss of a Beverly Hills stylist. The salon has a comfortable atmosphere, and Dwayne and Tracy couldn't be kinder. If you hate the stress of most high profile salons, and just want to go somewhere to relax and leave looking like a million bucks, go to Verve! Pros: Friendly folks and fabulous hair! Cons: It ain't cheap! more

Julius Cheese for ALL your hair style needs! 12/13/2008

I have had the pleasure of having Julius Cheese work on my hair for the last few years. I am not rich or famous, but I have had extensions done by a crackhead in Albuquerque, when I could not get to La to have it done. BIG MISTAKE... Pros: Great hair no matter what you want Cons: Cost more

Fantastic Salon in Beverly Hills, for women and hair types. 9/3/2008

This is a great find in Beverly Hills. Very tastefully designed space: it's an art gallery as well as hair salon. Julius is great. He does a professional job, he's good with color and relaxers, is very well priced, not to mention he's a riot. You'll have a blast with him. Plus, the girl who manages it makes gorgeous modern jewelry. more

Julius and Marisa are the best 6/13/2008

I've been going to Julius and Marisa for awhile. I will not go to anyone else, and would follow these two wherever they go. He knows what to do with women's hair; he and Marisa work as a team to make me look good. Verve Salon is this little cottage type place with parking available in the back, every stylist has his/her own space though, so the feeling is very cozy. Julius and Marisa treat you like a queen with water, wine, and great treats. Pros: Parking in the back! more

Marisa gives BEST HAIRCUT in QUIET, Stylish setting 5/9/2008

I would follow this woman ANYWHERE for her FABULOUS cuts & color! ThankGod- she has settled in this warm, inviting VERVE LOUNGE-2 blocks West of ROBERTSON. She gives great ATTENTION & FOCUSES on YOU, the client- rather than talking on the phone all the time -like many Stylists . Not only is she TALENTED and CREATIVE with ALL HAIR, but she also is BRIGHT & AMUSING. I always feel as if I've had a GOOD TIME when I leave the SALON. If she is booked- feel free to trust your look to JULIUS- the One & ONLY.... His pampering & unique designs will leave you wanting MORE VERVE!!! Pros: PLENTY of FREE PARKING in the back! more

Marisa Meola at the Verve Lounge is FABULOUS! She is a talented stylist, down to earth, and very funny!! 5/2/2008

Marisa is the best color and cut in Beverly Hills! For years I wore the same style, but after a little convincing, Marisa gave me a very sassy modern cut that makes me look years younger. I used to spend way too long in the morning blowdrying and flat ironing, but now my hair requires little effort and looks fabulous all the time! Besides being the best stylist, she is so personable and funny. I used to go to the salon just to get my hair done, but with her It's a total experience! I love how the room is private yet inviting and comfortable. Plus Verve has free meters on Saturday!!! What more could you ask for!!! Pros: plenty of parking, great ambience, wine and cheese, cucumber/lemon water, professional! more

Julius & Marisa are the Dynamic Duo of Beverly Hills!!! 4/26/2008

I've been getting my hair done by Julius Cheese & Marisa Meola for 5 years and they've raised the bar for all other hair stylists! They work as a team and are the best there is! I've gotten perms, color, cuts and extensions from them and nobody does it better! And besides having great skills, Julius & Marisa are so much fun to be around. I don't just come to get my hair done. When I go to there, they're serving up wine & cheese and lots of laughs! The salon is a cute cottage with lots of exposed brick and charm and is convenienly located just a couple of blocks from shopping & restaurants on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills. Julius & Marisa are fun and down-to-earth and I always leave their salon looking and feeling FABULOUS!!! You should definitely check them out! more

Julius Cheese very professional....... 3/29/2008

I have been duped by my share of hair dressers in this city, and I definitely feel blessed to have found Julius. The salon itself is relaxing and serene, and it's divided up in different sections. So you feel like you have your own personal stylist at home. The mood is calm and comfortable. Julius is very professional and a wizard at knowing what is best for your hair and hair type. I have never experienced a hair dresser who is gentle and caring. He dried my hair and there was not one tug or pull. The best part is.....HE'S REASONABLY PRICED!!!!! I have found my diamond in the rough. more

Not only do I love my hair more each time I leave Marisa, but I get compliments each and every time she does my hair. Marisa is an artist and will also make you laugh at least a dozen times while she is doing you hair!!!! more

I just received the best hair cut from Marisa Meola at the Verve Lounge. The salon is in a little house on Olympic in Beverly Hills and is very chill. Marisa has been cutting my hair far a long time. I really don't trust anyone to cut it but her. Not only can she cut good hair but is super hot and nice to look at. more

JENN STRAND - Not just for grown-ups anymore! 1/10/2008

I've read all the reviews for Jenn Strand and have been so impressed. I decided to have Jenn cut my 5-year old daughter's hair. All I can say is -- WOW!*!*!*! I was very worried that my daughter would regret her shorter hair, but Jenn made it look so phenomenal, people can't stop complimenting the haircut. Talk about ego-boosting a little ""princess""! People notice her cute little bob everywhere we go, and perfect strangers comment on it all the time. Anyone with a little girl knows how hard it is to maintain hair on younger children. Jenn was able to cut the hair in such a way that it curls under at the ends perfectly everytime. Less fiddling with the hair means less pulling, and a happier kid. It's so low maintenance, but SOOO CUTE. How can you go wrong?! I'd recommend Jenn to anyone who wants fantastic hair, kids and adults alike. Thanks, Jenn! We'll definitely be back to see you! more

No one can do hair like Jenn Strand 9/28/2007

I have had my hair done by Jenn for many years, and let me just say that I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. She's absolutely amazing at taking your request and sculpting it into something brilliant that you wouldn't be able to convey to someone else. I have very tempermental, fine hair, and Jenn always knows just what to do with it to keep it looking fresh and alive. I can only have her work on my hair about 1x per year because of distance (I'm in WI), so she's excellent at keeping that in mind and leaving me with a haircut that will grow out nicely. I recently visited Verve for the first time to see Jenn, and what a great atmosphere! It's relaxing as well as trendy, and Jenn embodies the feeling of the salon. All in all, it's the most amazing hair experience you'll ever have! more

JULIUS CHEESE 9/25/2007

Julius Cheese recently began working as a stylist at Verve. I have been going to him for about 10 years. He is an excellent stylist who is an expert in color and cuts. In addition, he has been doing my extensions for years. His extensions look so so natural and they look absolutely FABULOUS! He makes sure that his clients leave happy. I love Julius because he truly cares about his clients and LISTENS to what they want. more

Jenn Strand - Best Hairstylist Around!!! 9/13/2007

Jenn Strand is my FAVORITE hair stylist. She always asks how I want my hair to look and offers stylish suggestions. She listens to what I like and don't like. I love her head and shoulder massages, too! I go to see her everytime I'm in town. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who actually LISTENS to what you want in a hairstyle... and DELIVERS!!! Pros: Great listener, creative, intuitive... the atmosphere of the lounge is great, too Cons: You'll find none with Jenn! more
