Discrimation like no tomorrow,overpriced 10/8/2008

Me and a group of females went to this spot for a bachelorette party and some of the girls were white they were approach by girls in the club and they were told "they didn't belong". What is this, are we still living in a segragated world for this to be happening. We were there less then 5 mins so we went up to the owner to get our money back and he refused and we got no attention during this matter. We brought over 200 dollars in business to the club and we were not even there five minutes and we couldn't get our money back. The owner is all about money and nothing else. The dress code is not followed and men and women go in there with the worst clothing. The downstairs is tight with no room to move. The bathrooms are nasty and there is always one that doesn't work. We are way over charged.Bar odor, stuffy, nasty bouncers and the list goes on. The best thing this club has is the DJ.. Pros: good dj Cons: no room, bathrooms awful, when you ask for Hennessey they will give you E&J,awful odor more

Two thumbs down 8/5/2008

Okay your $15 dollar cover charge is ludacris. I mean really I have to say I was not impressed at all. I walked in to a whole in the wall. Not to mention you held everyone hostage upstairs until a certain time only to go into a musty basement with poor air quality. I was very disappointed also in the wait staff getting my order of drinks wrong not to mention making them incorrectly. If you are going to have these young girls waiting on people I am going to need them to be able to take an order as well as know the ingredients to make the drinks. I will not be caught dead in there again. You bouncer is a real sweet heart. All in all you get two thumbs down. Please go back to the drawing board. Pros: None Cons: no parking, cover charge more

I've been to better clubs in Tijuana 7/12/2008

The good news: Vertigo does NOT abide by their dress code. Many people wore t-shirts, sandals, sneakers, and shorts -- no problem. The somewhat good news: The bartenders are nice, attractive, and efficient. The bad news: Expensive cover and drinks for what is probably the worst club in Boston. I really wanted to love this place. It's right near home, it seemed to be highly recommended, the DJs seemed legit. But I've been back three times now, hoping each time that the experience would meet expectations. It does not and, I realize, cannot. The dance floor is small; the staff is rude and unexpectedly touchy-feely; the bathrooms are foul. I've been to better clubs in Tijuana. Go -- but only if you've got money to burn and time to waste. Pros: Bartending staff Cons: Weapons check at front door, exorbitant drinks, claustrophobia more

If I could rate this half a star I would. First of all too expensive for the trash I received. $15 for a small room. I could I have thrown a dorm room party if thats the case. I wish I read all the reviews from different websites before I wasted an outift, money and time which I will I never get back. Secondly all the men were 35 plus thats not what I'm into. If I wanted to dance with my uncle or grandpa I would have went to my family reunion. Third which the most important point of my review. I smelled nasty funk from 40 yr olds alllll night. Whatever happened to deordant and cologne. I thought it was soca/ reggae night. But sounded more like a 90s mixtape. All they played was old school hip hop, 3 old reggae tracks and 2 soca tracks. I didnt even bother to buy any drinks because I was so disappointed. Why waste more money on trash. Even if I got drunk I would have sobered right up because of the negative surroundings. The men were harrassing me and my homegirls to dance. Even when we walked away they folllowed us on some stalker status. If you want to get even with your worst enemy take them to Vertigo!!! I have given up on all clubs thanks to Vertigo! Pros: none Cons: all of it more

Avoid on Saturday nights unless you are looking to get into an altercation. Very rough crowd. Music is quite good, the place could use a facelift. Pros: music Cons: shady crowd more

Vertigo Saturdays 1/4/2005

I like this spot. It's smaller but draws some of the hottest industry people & celebs around. Spinning hip-hop & r&b on both levels, the upstairs lounge offers a place to relax and talk to people where the downstairs level is all about dancing. Drinks are well priced and if you offer to buy the bartender a shot, you may just get a 2nd for free! Pros: music, atmosphere, location more

Real underground lives! 2/16/2003

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the hot nights here and for those who have deeper tastes. Tuesdays have outstanding breakbeat, and Wednesdays get all psy-trance on ya. Cool people at both and no bs....highly recommended alternatives in a town dominated by hip hop and top 40. Pros: music, decor, friendly staff Cons: parking, small more

You must have Vertigo to go here 7/17/2002

First of all, there is a $15 cover to enter a very nicely decorated place the size of one small room and one mini room. It is a bar/club...but more of a bar. The decor is very nice soo if that is what you like than you all set. If you like space on the other hand...stay outside were you can breath. Classy, rich, trendy crowd...but unfortunately tooo expensive and tooo small. Pros: nice dcor Cons: hard to park, inexpensive more

  • In Short
Located where the Financial District meets the Quincy Market area, Vertigo stylishly enjoys its status as one of the area's premier dance clubs. DJs spin hip-hop, trance, techno and several other genres (contact the club to check). Patrons, many of whom sport accents and hard-earned tans, match bartenders in wearing fashionable black duds. The first floor lounge provides a relatively relaxed spot to rest between visits to the downstairs dance floor.
