Please stop by for a Headache 1/2/2015

My wife and me were there earlier this week and met with Eddie. I had told Eddie that I need to have a "straight up honest buying experience". Unfortunately it was far from that. We drove 45 minutes to see him because he said he would get us the best deal possible. The car that we had discussed about was no longer there - so we looked into another car. When we came back after the test drive we were shocked to see that he was trying to charge us an "extra 1200" for the warranty. We asked him that it was mentioned on the internet that the vehicle was certified so the price should have already included the certification cost - and he just casually said "Not with us" (Really?) Then he just kept going back and forth with prices - we told him we were hungry - hadn't had lunch. He still went back and forth several times with "What if" scenarios and wasted over 30 minutes. Finally his manager Vishal came in and said "this is the final price" (which was way higher than what we were discussing with Eddie). When asked what about the promises Eddie had made to us he just basically said disregard that and they both walked out on us. It was such a sorry sight for us to see Eddie being embarrassed by his manager. Then there was no counter offer made. Eddie did not even walk us out to the door. What we failed to understand is why did Vishal not give Eddie the final price right away and then would have saved all of us a lot of time and prevented humiliation for Eddie. We went to another dealership and closed the deal the same day. Cars can be sold in a "honest and ethical manner" guys and the sooner you guys embrace this the better it will be for you and your customers. more

Vandergiff Honda quick to help 10/28/2012

Drove in near the end of the day on a Thursday night. I'd been trying for a while to figure out the replacement of my right head light bulb and couldn't get the bulb I bought, at a parts store, to fit correctly. I was greeted by Mike Symank and he was quickly able to determine two things. The first being that the bulb was wrong for the socket I was trying to connect to...and the second was that I had been trying to put a low beam bulb into a high beam socket. He made me feel comfortable in regards to my oversight and didn't belittle me, as I was just attempting to save a few bucks. After telling me what Vandergriff charges to replace the bulbs, I probably should have taken my Accord their first. He pointed out that the low beam socket was further in and even checked the connections for me right there on the service entrance. Turns out, he told me, the connection was just a little loose and possible road vibration caused it to wiggle out. He had all my lights working in no time. Thank you Mike and Vandergriff Honda for taking care of me once again. more

Always feel welcome at Vandergriff Honda! 10/21/2012

Everytime I call, or stop by, the staff at Vandergriff Honda is eager to assist no matter what my issue may be. Most recently, I called and spoke to Mike Symank about my check engine light. He told me about the most common reasons the light may come on and asked questions trying to pinpoint causes. He told me to pull into the service department if I was close by and he would at least verify why the light was on. Upon arriving, Mike quickly showed me why the light was on and cleared it. He was right on the money with our phone discussion earlier ...fuel cap not tight enough. Thanks again Vandergriff Honda, the little things matter most and keep me coming back. more

Great people Vandergriff Honda! 9/30/2012

I called and spoke to Mike Symank in regards to an issue I was experiencing with my tire pressure monitor. He invited me to come in and have my tires checked as a courtesy just to be on the safe side. No leaks but my tires were definitely low due to the recent temperature drops. It feels good knowing people still care about the well being of others in today's busy world. I also got a chance to see the brand new 2013 Honda Accord and speak to Patrick Jordan about it's features while I was waiting. I recommend Vandergriff Honda to all my friends and family. Helped me out before I went crazy!!! 9/23/2012

I stopped in at Vandergriff Honda because I couldn't get my navigation system working after I replaced my car battery. The service helpers tried to figure it out but weren't able to. Then the service writer, Mike Symank, came out and did some sequences on my screen and got it working. I asked him how much I owe him and he said he was just happy to help me out. Thanks Vandergriff Honda, Mike, and the guys that assisted me. more

SRS light 8/28/2012

2004 accord with the SRS light needed to be fixed so i took it to Vandergiff honda to get it fix. Mike Symank was a person who helped me with my car problem and he met and exceeded my expectations. What a great experiences with Vandergiff Honda. I would recommend them to anyone.Thank you more

Excellent Service No Complaints 1/7/2011

I took my vehicle to vandergriff Honda to get my oil change before I headed on a trip that weekend. I was informed by service that my vehicle inspection sticker has expired. They inspected my vehicle and it passed! I really appreciate the heads up on this and the prompt service. Thank you Vandergriff Honda I will be back in about 4000 miles for another oil change. more

NEVER BUY A CAR HERE!! 6/28/2009

$12000.00 UPSIDE DOWN ON A USED HONDA I BOUGHT THERE IN ONE YEAR AND 8K MILES!!.We purchased a 2006 CRV From this dealer one year ago with 29k miles. We since have another baby on the way and needed a larger SUV. We have payed $3500 in principal on our CRV and felt we should be close to even with the payoff. We were insulted when Vandergriff came back to say we were $12000 upside down on the car we bought from them!. then to add insult to injury expected us to pay $7000 down and a 13% interest rate with $900 a month payment on another used pilot, We currently pay $400 a month and have 8% interest. Unscroupulus dealers such as this one hate when you trade a car you bought there in because they get caught in their own lies about "high resale value" and what a "good deal they are giving you. 12000.00 DOLLARS UPSIDE DOWN IN 12 MONTHS OF IMMACULATE CARE AND 8K MILES!!. That's the kind of deal you will get at vandergriff. more

WORST Dealership in the DFW area 9/8/2008

Folks read the complaints on this dealership on websites all over the internet! You will find where they have threatened many customers, lied to, hung up on, and one guy even took his car from him after signing papers & he had the car for a few days. He came back to the dealership for they lied to him & told him to come get a free tank of gas on them yet when he got there they took the car from him & said they didn't want to do business with him just because he had complained. go to Hurst Honda more

WORST GENERAL MANAGER CUSTOMER SERVICE! 9/8/2008

We bought 4 cars from this dealership & would have bought more over the years till we had a problem with a salesman who kept LIEING to us on trading our car in for another one. The salesman does not return phone calls & when we complained the GENERAL MANAGER CHARLIE was rude on the phone & threatened my wife! When we complained to the BBS on him & several websites The General Manager/OWNER threathen us again & said he was not even going to help us period in buying our new car UNLESS we removed complaints. more

Best HONDA Dealer IN TOWN 7/22/2005

We just bought a new Honda Accord from this dealer and the sales lady Anna Lane was EXCELLENT!! We went to 3 different dealers in the area and none of them was as helpful and willing to get us the car we wanted as this dealer did. We are very satisfied with service. We even bought an extented warranty to 100000 miles at a good price. Highly recommend using this dealer for your next new car. more
