Van Craeynest are the only jewelers using turn-of-the-century techniques to hand-make their divine antique-inspired jewels that I know of. I haven't seen similar workmanship anywhere except in European museums, and that's no word of a lie! I've placed my original engagement diamond into style 1019 recently (transferred from a Tiffany solitaire setting) -- and I couldn't be happier. This jewelry makes modern settings look drab and uninspired, as it is alive with three-dimensional natural motifs all balanced beautifully by the eye of master craftsmen and of course Larry's own training (as a sculptor). Do yourself a favor and check out their website, don't be afraid to give Larry a shout and remember that prices quoted are for 100% custom work (and are often less expensive than you might imagine).
Pros: Jewelry of unimaginably beautiful design and finish
Cons: So far away from me :)
