Excellent Care 11/14/2011

I have been going to Valu Vet for at least 8 years now and have found the level of care to be excellent and the cost lower than any other vet I have been to. Dr. Robinett is as good as any vet I have ever had and better than most. And the two times I had to put down pets that were very old, they couldn't have been nicer. more

If You Really Love Your Pet 7/24/2011

I used to go to Value Vet at times when I could not get a quick appointment with my regular VET. Dr. Robbinette is very good but the problem is you get different Vets each time you go there. My 12 yr. old cat started getting allergies. Dr. Robbinette explained to me the first time that before she would give him a steroid shot a blood panel must be done to make sure he wasn't diabetic. If a cat is borderline diabetic a steroid shot could push them in to full diabetes. She left the I got the blood panel, steroid shot and antibiotics. He was better in a few days. The next year the same problem same time of year. I took him in and got a new Vet. I had never seen her before. The first thing I noticed when she walked in to the room was the she smelled like Smoke. She proceeded to say that she was going to give my cat a steroid shot after looking at his nose and I asked her if she wasn't going to do a blood work up first because of what Dr. Robbinette had explained to me earlier. She said Nah it wasn't necesarry. She said it had only been 6 months so she wasn't worried about that. I thought to myself 6 months? I could have swore it had been almost a year. So guess what! 6 weeks late he was diagnosed with full diabetes! She was obviously shocked and acted very guilty and asked me again what Dr. Robbinette had told me about the blood panel and steroid shot. Then she started calling me worried about him and also said she was going to give me a discount. That's when I knew something was really wrong. She proceeded to tell me she was sorry and that she had only been a Vet for 5 years. I later found out from one of the girls at the front desk who apparently couldn't help herself that the she was fired for drinking on the JOB! So my cat now a diabetic had to have daily shots forever and the expense was through the roof. Last year I took him back there because he acted like he had a bladder infection. I got a new vet. She was young..very nice but after finding out he was diabetic and 15 she told me she had seen some cats that more

Value Vet is STILL A GREAT VALUE!! 12/7/2009

I reviewed Value Vet about a year ago, gave it a glowing review, then today I received an email from Judy's Book stating a new review had been posted. It said VV sold to a new owner that hired all new employees and raised prices. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I JUST NOW got off the phone with Value Vet. There is NO new owner, the same folks own it. Also, they raised the price of an "office visit with the Vet." a whopping $2.00 <--- not a typo, yes, raised the price by TWO DOLLARS. Sheesh. Frankly, I can't believe they didn't do that earlier this year, considering the economy! Please help VV keep their prices low by giving them your business! more

changed drastically 12/6/2009

The original vet left, sold to someone who raised prices and changed staff, they are terrible! Not Value anymore. more

Affordable & Caring Vet 8/14/2008

I can't say enough good about this Vet Clinic. Affordably pricing and caring staff. I highly recommend this Clinic. more

nice staff, great pricing 6/25/2005

I love this vet! The staff is caring and kind. I have taken several animals to this clinic for routine care and also for more critical issues during the day. They have handled vaccinations, spay/neuter and medical issues including diabetes with experience and care. When I had to euthanize a very sick cat, they were so incredibly kind, not letting me drive until I had some time to calm down. Their service toward animals and people is amazing. more
