Value Motel

I once stayed at the Value Motel when I was 13 years old with my Father. We stayed one night provided by a voucher from the salvation army. everything's cool.... free lodging, roof over our head for the night.... signs there's some light... NO! Wrong!.. My Dad and I went accross the street to fred myers, came back someone had broken in out motel room. Stole all of our items of value. My Dad's CD's, (they were a big deal at the time) my song walkman under the pillow... yeah they even got that. Not to mention that in the cheaper rooms there they have to offer, you share your bath room with the motel room next door. So the only thing stopping them from you or you from them is a sliding bath room door with a pathetic latch that can be yanked open fairly easily. To make a long story stort. Someone tried to break in that same night we were robbed from the store trip. My Dad and I sat in silence awaiting the perosn to fully open our portion of the door some he could become knocked out instatly by my Father waiting patiently. The sound stopped... the noise and foots step slowing disipated into the darkness of the room and there we were alone and pretrified, of the Value Motel of Vancouver. more

We booked this place at the last minute because we got last minute Duck Tickets.We booked it because it was the cheapest place we could find. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there! more

Value Motel in Northeast Hazel Dell - Starcrest is a DUMP! I am NOT a picky person and I can sleep just about anywhere, but this place was a nightmare! We were there no more than 10 minute and demanded a refund and left. There was pubic hair in the bath tub (a lot of it), the carpets were soiled and the room smelled like death. The straw that broke the camel's back wasn't the fact that the bed sheets were DIRTY, but the fact that there was a used prophylactic in the trash can along with fast food wrappers was a deal breaker. This place needs to be shut down! I am quite certain they rent out rooms hourly. We left and went to a REAL motel! It was $55 for a private room ($30 to share a bathroom with a neighbor). If you think about going here, get back on the 5 north and go to the Shilo Inn where the rooms are clean....or sleep in your car!! It only got a 1 star rating because a rating is required. Cons: This place is DISGUSTING!! more
