What a thoughtful and caring pet clinic 7/25/2011

I recently had to put my cat to rest after 16 years. This is one of the most difficult things I've have ever had to do. I had never been to Valley Ranch Pet Clinic but it was right near my apartment and I didn't want to travel too far with my cat, whom I felt was suffering. I went in first thing on a Monday morning just to find out the cost and procedures. Emma was sooooo sweet, kind and caring answering my questions, especially when I broke down a few times during our conversation. I decided few hours later while I was work that I needed to put Callie at rest and I was very pleased with the Valley Ranch Pet Clinic. I called Emma back and made the appt for that very day. When I arrived at the clinic, they had a room already saved for me and Callie so we could go straight in and not have to sit in the waiting room as I was hystercial. I was assisted by Heidi, who was also so very caring and sympathetic, and then by Dr. Tina Capps. Dr Capps was so wonderful and friendly and made me feel right at home. She also helped me feel comforable and let me know I was doing the right thing. I chose to have Callie cremated and when I went to pick her up, she was in the prettiest box. Just yesterday I received the nicest, most caring and comforting card from Dr Tina and staff, along with a really nice poem. Putting a pet down after 16 years is the hardest thing to do, but with a staff like the one at Valley Ranch Pet Clinic, it sure made it comforting. I will definitely refer friends to them, and if I ever get a new pet, this clinic will become my new pet clinic. Thanks again, Dr Capps and all the staff. more

Best Clinic In Town 3/24/2011

This clinic is the best one that I have been to in ages. The staff is very friendly and the doctors are there to give my dogs the best experience. I noticed that the Kennel Staff were very attentive to my pets needs and enjoyed taking care of them. This clinic doesn't just shove your pet in a cage and leave it there till they are picked up; they play with the animals on a daily basis. This clinic is a must go when your pet is in need or you need someone to watch your pets. more

Dr. Rouchon - Greedy vet, doesn't care! 4/14/2008

On Friday 4/11/08 Emma (2 mo puppy) was vomi ting and had dia rrhea. Dr. Rouchon ruled out Parvo without even testing. Ordered an X-ray and a fecal. We questioned the possibility of Parvo, and he stated that she did not have the symptoms of it!!! He injected her with a muscle relaxant, and stated she would be fine. Sunday, we rushed her to an Emergency clinic... when giving the history, and telling them what Dr. Rouchon had diagnosed, they were surprised that a Parvo test was not ordered with the initial tests - as the symptoms of Parvo are VOM ITING and DIAR RHEA. Emma ended up having Parvo, and is now hospitalized! Requested a refund... Dr. Rouchon agreed via phone, 30 minutes later, he called my girlfriend and harassed her - stating to her that he told us Parvo test would be done on Monday, and that I was just after money. She corrected him, and said that he ruled out Parvo each of the multiple times we brought it up. Beware, vet after money and doesn't care about your pet!!! Pros: Staff was courteous Cons: Greedy Vet - orders unnecessary Xrays, skips cheaper simple tests, adds on expensive and improper treatment, rude and confrontational! more

Nice sometimes isn't good enough 2/16/2008

All the folks here are real nice, but I switched vets after several mis-diagnoses and high cost of medicine (that didn't work). I wish they'd been supportive of specialist recommendations -- because they trashed the dermatogist everyone else recommended I waited years before finding out my dog had a rare skin disease. more

Absolutely Wonderful 10/26/2007

If you care about your pet, take them to this clinic. They are professional, courteous, caring and affordable. My dog is usually aggressive with strangers, albiet vets, was treated extyremely well, and did not show any sighns of aggression. They took the extra time to be gentle and calm, and the all the staff was super friendly. They gave my son a cute hat, which he loves, and the whole experience was the best our family had ever experienced. I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone with pets. Pros: clean, family friendly more

Best Vet in the World 7/29/2006

Dr. Tina Capps is the best vet I have ever been to, and I had my cat for 18 years. She never tries to sell you on tests or procedures you don't need (can't say the same about other doc), tells it like it is, and is very kind and gentle with the pets even when they ""misbehave."" Staff is caring and compassionate. Sent a card when I finally had to give in to my cat's illness and let her go. Bless them, it was no charge to euthanize her. They followed up with a card and donation to a veterinary college. Pros: Knowledgeable and compassionate more
