Dr. Primas is a very kind & patient doctor who is readily available. One thing I really appreciated about him was the fact he was detailed, yet very straight forward. I also appreciated how he explained what he was doing why. Before I left his office, he urged me to keep in contact on how I am feeling; whether I was feeling better or not. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends/family and guests (I work in a hotel). Thank you Dr. Primas. more

Dr. Primas is an excellent kind and patient doctor. I have had a couple of pop up medical emergencies and he has always been there to assist even on the weekends. He also gives free flu shots to hotel employees throughout NYC. Me and my family are very lucky to have him as our doctor. more

Just Exceptional!! 3/23/2011

Dr. Primas is the very best! I have been surrounded by doctors since I was very little, worked in medicine & have yet to meet an internist & urgent care doctor quite like him. He is thorough, attentive to detail, caring and compassionate. Oftentimes brilliant physicians lose their ability to relate to patients or treat them with patience and empathy, not Dr. Primas! He takes comprehensive steps & evaluates patients by covering all the possibilities. He doesn't rush you out of his office or dismiss your symptoms. The diagnosis and suggestions always go above and beyond just basic treatment. And though having a doctor treat you with warmth and kindness is not mandatory for quality care, it's a gift when you are treated by a doctor like Dr. Primas. A man who isn't just brilliant, but possesses wonderful qualities as a human being. I cannot sing his medical expertise or personal praises enough. Thank you for everything - the world is a better place because of you! more

Outstanding Doctor! In my experience Dr. Primes has always made me feel better when I'm sick. He's professional ,efficient, attentive,comfortable and always helpful. He doesn't generalize illness. He really puts the time and gives detail about the situation. He's passionate about helping people and very genuine. I'm lucky to have found an Incredible Doctor that I trust. ANSWERING SERVICE IS UNBEARABLE 10/10/2010

I tried calling but his answering service was the WORST! I tried asking a simple question about whether during business hours the service answered or I could ask an insurance question to staff and the service wouldn't actually listen, kept interrupting, put me on hold, and was so condescending it was disgusting. Like working for an answering service means you're smarter than the rest of the world? It took three calls to get the question answered and was so difficult - for such a simple question that was well founded since I was calling AFTER the start of business hours and the service was picking up - that I would never see someone who hired such rude people to handle his affairs. \r If you can actually deal with the answering service, you're a better person than me. And Dr. Primas, consider hiring a different service. more

Very, very efficient! 9/18/2010

We were in NY a couple of weeks ago and I developed a heavy cold, which then affected my sinuses and my ear. Dr. Primas gave me a very thorough examination, and then prescribed antibiotics and cough medicine. I was well enough to fly home two days later. I was very impressed by Dr. Primas and it was a huge relief to be able to see someone so quickly and be dealt with so efficiently. Thanks, Dr. Primas! more

Dr. Primus saves the day (and our vacation!) 3/7/2010

My youngest daughter, Phoebe, and I were in NYC visiting a friend. When our plane was landing, Phoebe had some serious ear pain, but once we were on the ground all seemed well. Until around midnight.... all of a sudden, she was in intense pain and had developed a fever, also. I called down to the front desk of our awesome hotel (London NYC) and they said they would contact the hotel doctor. I rec's a call from Dr. Primus in less than 10 minutes! I was impressed already! He was on his way to care for someone who had been injured while filming a music video and would see us at about 1:00 - 1:30AM. Imagine my shock when he knocked on our door not quite an hour later. He decided to come check on Phoebe before going to the set. Dr. Primus is simply the most amazing physician. He was clearly very busy and needing to be somewhere else, but he gave my child the most thorough examination, all the while speaking very softly to her and calming her. One of the Best! 1/26/2010

Dr. Primas is a great doctor. I first saw him back in '99 or 2000, when I was feeling ill on a weekend. Ever since then, he has been my primary doctor. Its easy to get an appointment, often for the same day, if not, then the next. The wait time is never long, and he honestly feels bad if there is ever a wait. His diagonoses have always been top notch.\r \r The only con is that he doesnt take insurance, and even though he does keep his prices down, that can make it prohibitive to see him for things that are not needed urgently. more

Don't hesitate - great doctor 12/6/2009

I have gone to Dr. Primus twice now on a weekend when my doctor was not available and I could not wait to be seen. There has never been a long wait and above all Dr. Primus is very knowledgeable, efficient, has a great bedside manner, and once when I needed to be referred to a surgeon, he was able to send me to a nearby doctor that was also available on the weekend and again an amazing doctor that I was so glad to be referred to. Excellent 3/1/2009

I visited Dr. Primas over a weekend where I felt very ill and my regular doctor was closed, but my illness did not warrant a trip to the emergency room. It was really a perfect experience. Dr. Primas is professional and thorough with a nice bedside manner, and there was barely any wait before my appointment began. His offices are pleasant and easy to reach. It is great to know he's available. Pros: No wait, quick but thorough diagnosis Cons: Doesn't take insurance, but when you're really sick you just deal! more

Very Impressed 11/29/2008

We were so happy to have Dr. Primas pay us a visit when our son was sick!!! It is terrible to go out when your feeling ill and I dreaded having to drag my son out when he was so sick. It's wonderful to have a great doctor visit you in the comfort of your home. He was so good with my son and thorough! He arranged for the prescriptions to be delivered. Being sick is never good but is now comforting to know we have Dr. Primus to call when needed! Thank you soooo much!!!! Pros: Home visits Cons: No cons more

Highly Recommended! 11/12/2008

I fell terribly ill on a recent visit to NYC. As a Brit Expat living in LA, I'm always nervous about healthcare in the U.S.! After speaking with my hotel, Dr. Primas was recommended. I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised! Dr. Primas was attentive and patient - I never felt rushed. Exceptional 7/8/2006

Dr. Primas is most likely the top doctor in New York City. I had the opportunity to visit his comfortable, serene office for travel medicine purposes. I was impressed with his knowledge, thorough attention and consistent follow-up. He appeased my concerns and made the entire process easier for me. Dr. Primas is exceptional. more

Dont Hesitate for a second 4/28/2006

Dr Primus is one of the best doctors my wife and I have ever had. He is exceptionally sincere, thorough, and has a fantastic bed side manner. My wife was treated at home, and he even called every day after for a week just to see if there were any concerns with her health.
