My previous waxing experiences were awful, so I was a little hesitant about trying a new place yet again. but the staff was so friendly and welcoming which made me feel way more comfortable. I honestly got the best brazilian wax ever! I've had nothing but perfect waxes from Beth and no stray hairs! Thank you! Pros: Lovely staff and a great brazilian! I've been meaning to write this for awhile.. but after yet another perfect eyebrow wax yesterday I just had to thank Beth on here. I'm not one to write reviews but I just had to this time. I've never been a regular waxer but Beth and Urban Waxx have turned me into one. At first I jumped around to different people and I must say, everyone I saw did a great job but there was just something about Beth's attention to detail that I've never actually experienced while gettting waxed before. She's friendly, quick, painless, and my brows are always perfect! I'm a hairstylist at a nearby salon and I don't hesitate to send all my clients Beth's way, but even if she is busy I know that they'll get a great wax at Urban Waxx! Thanks Beth! I have been searching for an amazing wax place since I moved 2 years ago. I've been in fear of getting a terrible eyebrow wax for so long because, quite frankly, I've had some waxers ruin my eyebrows and it took months for the brows to grow back. Urban Waxx is AMAZING. The customer service is top notch. When I called in total fear when scheduling for my eyebrow wax, the lady at the other end was 110% reassuring and made me feel entirely okay with going in. Let me tell you, the results of my eyebrow wax are the best I've ever seen, and I thought my "best" waxer previous to Beth was amazing. Now, Beth is my absolute favorite waxer in the entire world. :) She is so great at making me feel calm and she is so precise with every single hair- just how I like it. And if you are worried about pain - that's not even a thing to think about. You hardly feel a thing. The wax even itself is amazing and is truly top-notch. It all is truly worth the price. Trust me, like they even say, it is the best wax you'll ever have. Seriously. I love Urban Waxx. Pros: Every.single.thing. Cons: None. more

This is seriously the best salon I have ever been to. The level of professionalism, kindness, cleanliness, and the snacks and drinks that are offered are just a few of the perks! Due to my busy schedule, I almost never request the same waxer, but every time I go the experience is excellent! My personal favorite is probably Adriana, simply because we click so well. But ALL of the gals at Urban Waxx are kind, warm, and super talented. I can't say enough good things about Urban Waxx! more

Mindy is the best ever. No pain, and no breakage or too- fast grow- outs. Best brazilians ever. I love that they use hard wax. Much less painful than soft. Yay for Urban Wax and Mindy more

I am very particular about how my eyebrows are shaped. I recently was referred to Brooke to have my eyebrows waxed/shaped. I thought she was very nice and good conversation. I left being extremely happy with the shape of one brow and not so happy with the other. I mentioned to her that they didn't look the same and she did try to fix it but at that point I think it was too late; too much had been taken off already. I will give them another chance. Inside decor is great but outside paint job is horrific! Very unattractive on the outside. Pros: Very nice Staff; offered beverages when you walk in the door Cons: Horribly ugly outside paint job more

First of all, the girl I spoke to on the phone (unfortunately, I don't recall her name) was extremely friendly and reassuring. She gave me a great first impression, and my nerves calmed down a bit. When my appointment day rolled around, I was greeted by another friendly face and was offered an assortment of refreshments while I waited. Besides having a friendly staff, Urban Waxx is adorably decorated! The owner has managed to achieve a feeling of sophistication without the air of snobbishness one so often encounters in a beauty-focused venue. Finally it was time for my waxing. I was lucky enough to be waxed by Beth, a sweet and calming gal who made me feel at ease immediately. The actual experience was not as awkward as I had anticipated. Beth chatted with me the whole time and kept me posted on what she was doing along the way. I'm not going to lie...it hurt...quite a bit in some places. However, the pain was short lived and the results were fantastic. I would highly recommend Urban Waxx, whether it is your first Brazilian or your 50th. I think I might be hooked for life! Not only do I not mind going to get my regular Brazillian wax, I actually look forward to it. Not only is the end result smooth and lovely, but I also look forward to the process. I feel like I'm visiting with an old friend when I see Shannon - it is such a welcoming and relaxing environment. The first time I was waxed (elsewhere!) I was nearly in tears and it took nearly an hour - now I'm in and out within 15 minutes and not only do I not cry, but I carry on perfectly normal conversations. It is much more pain free than I would have ever imagined. This is definitely the place to go! Pros: The whole shebang - the end result, the process, the atmosphere Cons: none more

I see Beth regularly for brazilians and every time I wait for the "painful part", but it never comes! Before I know it she's all done and cleaning up the loose ends - she's meticulous, and I've yet to come home and find a stray hair. Her friendly and relaxing demeanor takes any awkwardness out of the situation (and believe me, I've had some awkward brazilians elsewhere....) and her skill and the high quality products at Urban Waxx take care of the rest. She also gives great advice on avoiding ingrowns, which I'm prone to. If I'd known about Beth earlier I'd have been "going bare" on a regular basis a lot sooner!
