What a find! 5/1/2007

In a very recent visit to Portland, a friend encouraged me to do something I'd never done in my life --- have my eyebrows and bikini line waxed. Even though my hair color is naturally light, I've always fought the bikini 'fuzz' line, with a razor --- never satisfactory but passable as long as I did it regularly. Wow! What an experience I had a Urban Waxx. Shannon did my eyebrows so quickly and easily, I hardly knew that she was doing it. She understood my feelings about 'being the first time' for my bikini wax but made me feel completely at ease in seconds. Her place is serene and sophisticated, true, but most importantly, it is also spotless. Within a few minutes, I was telling Shannon my life story while in the most unusual but relaxed position. So now, what do I do? I live far away! Maybe she will open a second location by me? Please??? Pros: Immaculate place; serene surroundings, painless waxing Cons: None more

Shannon is so amazing. Not only is she the cutest thing ever and fun to talk to, but she does an excellent job-- the BEST brazilian I've had yet-- while making you feel extremely comfortable. Shannon is my new best friend? 4/25/2007

I have been waxing various parts of my hairy Jewish body for years. Its like a rite of passage in my family. In addition, one of my best friends has been waxing me for the last few year. When she decided to give up the waxing biz a year ago to raise a family full time, I freaked. I mean, who can do as good of a job and make me feel as comfortable as my best friend?? I tried probably around 10 waxing places and ended up with some uncomfortable scabs, some burns, some crazy brows and various other experiences that are too painful to talk about. And then I found Shannon. She is nice. She is funny. Her studio is cute. AND SHE GIVES AN AMAZING WAX. Her prices are reasonable (45 for a thong) and she doesn't accept gratuity. If you are getting waxed for the first time or are an old hand like me, you are going to pleased if you go to Shannon. She is fast, takes credit cards, fits you in for appointments fast and offers you a drink before getting down to business. I have found my new waxer and I hope Urban Waxx is here to stay. Makes a Brazilian Bikini Wax a Good Experience! 4/22/2007

I was nervous about getting a Brazilian Wax. We're talking about an area we tend to protect. . . Shannon was sweet, kind and an expert in her field. She made me feel personally comfortable. I didn't even think about the area she was working on. . .The hair removal went quickly and was much more painless than I would've expected! I have been getting waxed for years now and I have never been able to walk into the room with complete confidence with any braizilian. Shannon is professional and confident in all that she does. I felt totally at ease with her the first time I met her, she has this vibe about her that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Nervous about a brazilian? Don't be. 3/30/2007

Hi, So I had never been waxed before. I was really nervous but my friends bought me a brazilian at urban wax for my birthday to get me to go. They are super devoted to Shannon there. So I went and I am writing this because Shannon really did make me feel totally relaxed is a situation that could otherwise be not relaxing at all. I have been to Shannon several times, and each time is excellent. She is always on time, you never have to wait, her waxing is the absolute best in Portland, and she always puts me in the best mood! Plus, she can take me after work, when a lot of other places are closed. She is always able to fit me in...even last minute! Love her! I recommend her to all of my friends!
