Upscale $1.00 Store

I am a fan of dollar stores in general, this store is the crapiest of crappy dollar stores i have ever seen however. Usually when I go to the dollar store I find neat things and think Im geting a huge deal. this dollar store, appears to be full of crap no one wanted, and was purchased at clearance for $.05. The selection and quality in this store really let me down. more

...for every $1 store that I've been to, I could probably afford to open one of my own. Even so, there's something refreshingly different about a dollar store that bills itself as upscale. Like any dollar store, they carry a hodgepodge of different items, and if you know what to look for, you can find some pretty good bargains on things like batteries, combs, flashlights, and tissue, soap, etc. Where they really stand out, however, is a few things that I've never seen before in any dollar store, like cigarettes (which, according to my sources, were actually smokable) or a pocket-sized bike pump. If you're out to eat at Sushi Thai or Second City Grill, or especially if you ran out to pick up some batteries or a cheap screwdriver from Eckerd, why not stop by the Upscale $1 Store first? more
